  1. I was wondering the flourish excel by seachem is safe for fry? They are 3 weeks old.
  2. I have a bad case of BBA in my heavily planted 75 gallon tank. I know I should have taken care of it earlier but I thought it would resolve itself. I believe it was due to my heavy use of coop iron. I recently bought a juvenile SAE but he does not seem interested in the worst case but just nibbling on the Amazon sword leaves that have smaller amounts of BBA. I’m scared of using Flourish Excel or hydrogen peroxide since I have invertebrates and baby shrimps. should I rip all my plants out that I worked so hard to grow or trim them all down to their base? I was going to not feed my fish for a few days and make them work for their living and help to clean up the tank in the mean time. i have very hard water and pH 8.4 which is typical of my tap water. Fluval 3 planted light (which I have turned off for now) . Stock - albino corydoras, khuli loaches, Royal fallowela, African dwarf frogs, mystery snails, bladder/ramshorn snails, cappuccinos, trumpets. Thank you for any advice!
  3. So I have some flourish fertilizer I was wondering if I should refrigerate it after 3 months. I had it in the fridge but I had a problem with it leaking and if you guys have flourish at home you know it smells terrible. What should I do? Thanks, TacoPlayz
  4. Hello! I just found some Seachem in the back of my fridge, which I vaguely remember purchasing from around ten years ago. I couldn't find the expiration date; the liquid is dark brown and smells a bit like soy sauce. Is this salvageable? I thought it was supposed to be clear...Seachem is so expensive...
  5. https://youtu.be/V4xTaf8zxqM I was wonder how often I should add flourish. I actually just added to Scarlet temple and they are looking a little week from shipping. I put some flourish in the tank last night and didn’t know when I should add some more. I haven’t found much help on google either. Thanks in advance. Btw 10 neons, 4 guppy’s, 19 cherry shrimp and 1 mystery snail. (Also a ton of bladder snails)
  6. Question for you all: Have you tried the Seachem Flourish Root Tabs? I am thinking of getting some because I live in Canada so I can't get the co-op root tabs. I know their fertilizer isn't the best.
  7. Aquarium: 30 gallon with 4 dwarf gourami, 4 guppies, 12 neons, 6 amano shrimp, 4 otto cats. Also with 2 anubias, 2 monte carlos, 2 java ferns, 2 amazon swords, and one crypt. I recently started dosing 5ml per day of seachem flourish excel about 2 months ago because I do not have real CO2 (i know its not the same but its better than nothing lol). I test my water before and after water changes and actually document levels in a spreadsheet and graph it in order to spot any changes/differences over time. After dosing flourish excel for a while, ive noticed that i am doing LESS THAN HALF the water changes I was before. Before I got excel, I had to do 50% water change like 2-3 times per month just to keep my nitrates below 40 ppm. After dosing excel for awhile, Im only doing 50% water changes ONCE A MONTH! Thats crazy right? It's cool but, what is it doing? What ingredients are causing my nitrates to increase so slowly now? Not only that but my plants really are flourishing (no pun intended). I know most people would just accept it and move on, but I want to find out exactly what is in flourish excel that's causing this. I'm trying to understand the science behind it because its such a drastic difference (and im just a fish nerm). Has anyone else had similar observations after dosing this? Sorry for the long/complicated question, THANK YOU in advance!
  8. Long story short i try to fight BBA with Excel Flourish and now all my Vall is melting . What to do Next ??? Cut the death leaves ( 97%) or i need to replant everything? Thank was amazing last week and today all leaves are breaking down and lost color
  9. Ive been considering getting some seachem flourish advanced but im still on the fence about it and was wondering if anyone has any info on the product. Also does it help any plants in particular like moss or water stem plants?
