  1. Does any know if this is safe? I bought it, thinking it was Krylon Fusion for Plastic, which has been discontinued. Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. Andrew
  2. I am trying to put a background on a 20gal. Unfortunately, my tank is already up and running. Is there a way to add a good black background with not having to take everything out of my tank?
  3. I have a 5 gallon pea puffer tank. Its clear on 2 sides. Sometimes he gets spooked by shadows. I try to be carful. I tried one day to put a sheet of black paper on the back side and he freaked out. Wondering when the lights are off if I should try to put something on the back side of the tank. Would it help with the shadows? He does not do it all the time..but I don't want it to happen at ALL. He is active at night watching TV but sometimes he can get a bit spooked when I walk buy. I ordered some Java Fern to help fill in the back more (it should arrive tomorrow). Recommendations. See a older pic below
  4. Hello, I recently purchased a 16 gallon rimless tank. I was wondering if I should just leave it alone or place some kind of (black) background. I've heard of vinyl sheet, ect. I intend to place lots of live plants in the tank. What are your thoughts? I know one advantage is the black background can hide equipment. I am leaning toward just leaving it alone but not sure. Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone! Yesterday I received a Universal Rock background and decor. This is my 75 gallon that hasn't had many interesting updates in a long time. Is there anything you would have done differently? Hope you like it!
  6. First-time caller here, but I thought this would be a great place to post about a successful experiment with my aquarium. I have envied the rock backgrounds Cory has been showing off lately, but had decided to just to paint the back of my tanks like normal. After rooting through the random leftover paint bin in the garage, I came across an old spray paint from my youngest daughter's old school project. Her project was to create a solar system out of styrofoam balls; mine became an experiment to see if it would look like as a backdrop in an aquarium. Long story short, this "Stone Texture Finish" spray paint looks great! I applied it to the outside of the aquarium on the back, and it looks like a reasonable rock analog! Cheap way to add a rock look to your aquarium. https://www.amazon.com/Krylon-K18201-Coarse-Texture-Granite/dp/B000BZX6VO/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=black%2Bspeckle%2Bpaint&qid=1600793761&sr=8-5&th=1
