  1. Bentley, Cory, and others have discussed the benefits of UGFs in the planted aquarium. The most common answer for struggling plants is to use root tabs. So, the basic questions are: Am I wasting money by using root tabs and Easy Green with a UGF Does the dosing change My thoughts are that while the air driven UGF will allow the nutrients to remain in place for a shorter period, Powerheads will put them back in the column rather quickly.
  2. Shout out to Zenzo for his quick and easy tip on placing root tabs. Poke a small hole in one end of the root tab with a tack. Then gently squeeze the air out while root tab is submerged. This will prevent it from floating. Then place root tab in a desired location in substrate. Easy Squeezy !
  3. Good morning, I have a quick question on how to plant the easy root tabs. Per the instructions "Insert 1 capsule every 4 to 6 inches in a grid-like pattern". I'm still confused about this as English is not my first language. Does it mean place the first tab 4 inches from every direction and then place the next tab 4 inches away from the first tab? I have a 25x13 tank, could anyone tell me how many tabs do I need to place to get the maximum benefit?. I'm a total newbie when it comes to planted tank. Thank you so much for your advices.
