Hi! My 11 year old feeder goldfish is developing large raised black/red splotches on his side that I believe are blood-filled and I cannot narrow down what it is. He developed the same thing around this time last year and it wasn't helped by water changes every 3 days, addition aquarium salt added or by ick treatments. it kept getting worse and I eventually treated it with minnfinn and it disappeared in a few days, I know this treatment can be hard on fish so I would like to discover what the issue is so I can find a safer treatment. I believed last year it was something brought in from a snail bought from petco (bad choice in hindsight) but there have been no new additions and that snail has been gone for about 10 months. the tank is 25 gallons and has two feeder gold fish, both 11 years old all water parameters are normal temperature is probably between 70 and 78 (I don't have a thermometer) a 25% water change is done every two weeks I understand my tank size is not exactly suitable for 2 large feeders but I have no other options at the moment his behavior never seems to change, still vey food driven, and active

So I have about 18 baby guppies in a 5.5 gallon and they for some reason about 3 of the first 7 are tucking their fins. Is too months too old for a guppy to become sexually mature.I also have about 20 in my 10 gallon adult tank. My tanks are starting to get way overcrowded. I also do water changes every other week. My LFS only takes them in at about 5 months old and in 5 months I might have 100. I have a spare 3 gallon in the attic that I can use if it comes down to it. Also I have Golden Panchax Killifish that will gladly gobble them up. What should I do? Thanks

so, I bought 3 fiddler crabs in a 10 gallon tank off of craigslist in my area. The tank came with 5 "feeder fish" that the crabs live with, these fish are sand sifters from what I can tell although I couldn't get any more information about the species. The people I bought the tank from told me the fish are freshwater and live in this brackish tank for 6 months before they die. I found this rather shocking, since I feel reducing their lifespan like this as unethical. I am wondering how I would go about moving these fish into a freshwater tank I have? and can anyone identify them? would moving them back to freshwater be worse on their health?

If your feeder fish have swim bladder and it’s not cured can that spread to the fish your feeding. Google says not contagious but idk don’t want to harm my oscars
