  1. Starting this thread to journal my tanks. Currently I have: 2.5 gallon, well planted with ember tetras and red cherry shrimp 6 gallon with African dwarf frogs, a mystery snail and ember tetras with some new plants 8 gallon planted column tank in progress, current home to 1 female betta 29 gallon community tank, growing number of plants with a male betta, black neon tetras, Otto cats, a bristlenose pleco and baby guppies.
  2. In the UK, we’ve recently entered into our second lockdown, so what better thing to do to past the time than to start a new planted tank. This is a 30 litre/7.9 gallons heated tank, with double sponge filter. I like the double sponges as I can swap out a sponge from an existing tank for near instant cycling, without impacting the existing tank too much. Plants used are: Lilaeopsis brasiliensis Lobelia cardinalis Anubis nana bonzai Sagittaria subulata Limnophilia sessiliflora Cryptocoryne beckettii Bacopa caroliniana Java fern
  3. I have a dumbo betta in an 8 gallon. My roommate and I want a Nano fish that isn’t better looking than our betta, and will not clash with the colors in the tank. Here is the picture of the tank. Please help. Also, because the tank has a filter that is at the bottom under water, I am not allowed to use sand. I have rough rocks, designed to have a lot of surface area for bacteria, at the bottom. I have smooth river rock as a layer on top to protect my betta’s fins. I know I can’t have corys, but is there another nano bottom dweller I could get, or only snails? Again, if I can only get mid water nano fish then That’s what I’m looking for. Thanks, -Eden
