  1. Ph 8.0-8.4 Ammoina 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 50, KH High like 200-300 GH High my meter says 299 ppm. I do not notice any rapid breathing, I would say they have sunken bellies but its hard to tell as their whole body seems withered. When i treated i have done both ways of going by the instructions on the box and the way Aquarium Co-op says they do it. They are not spitting out the food as far as i have seen and they seem just as hungry as normal. Some of them have normal red colored poop (I am feeding them Krill flakes and brine shrimp) and some have this really stringy whitish clear poop which seems to be most apparent right before they die. I have been trying to treat this problem for like 2 months now giving breaks after treatment and seeing but its just not getting better and there is no way to get all the guppies out or the shrimp without completely taking the tank apart. Hope this helps if you need anything else just let me know. Thanks.
  2. Is there a fish med for that or do i use a dog or cat de-wormer? I have tried both Fritz meds meant for parasites but it doesnt seem to work.
  3. I thought it could be old age at first as the ones i started with were adults but i have even babies or subadult going very skinny then dying. Before they die they start not moving much just hanging on the surface as they look like they lost a lot of weight in a short time and start to lose some of their color. As for water I have quite hard water Ph 8.0-8.4 Ammoina 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 50. This tank has been setup since around April and is the only tank about of the 11 i have to have this problem.
  4. Hello I am seeking help as i am at a lost. I have a 60 gallon freshwater with shrimp, snails, guppies, and some other fish. It is a low tech planted tank but i keep losing guppies to what i believe is wasting dieses. I have treated with Expel-P and ParaCleanse multiple times but i keep losing guppies and i am at a lost as to what to try to save my fish. I would love to save the shrimp as well but there is no way to get them out with how the tank is decorated. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  5. Thanks, @Patrick_G Yes the cube tanks are with the sump and the 40 breeder is its own tank. I am using the API master test kit but i am also using the co-op test strips as well as i like to have more then one source for results. I did reset my lights so now they only go up to 70% brightness to see if that would help and the lights are on a timer so its the same amount of light everyday.
  6. Hello everyone, So after 10 or more years out of the hobby my wife and i got back in and started with a 40 breeder and a cube tank setup with 6 12" cubes all connected with a 20 gallon sump, equaling about 60 gallons of water. My question is the system is cycled and has been up for about 2 months now with what i would call heavy plants low fish count (bettas, tettras, shrimp, and snails with a few ottos and brissle nose pletco) I am dosing with easy green at 1.5ml per day with a dosing pump but no matter what, i test with 0 nitrates and well some of the plants are doing great others not so much and i'm wondering if its cause the lack of nitrates and if so what i should do to help with that. i should also stat when i had fish before i did not do live plants as i could not keep them alive Thanks in advaced.
