  1. Thanks. Yes, a lid will be the ONLY way. I've been researching dragon flies all night and some of them flick their eggs in the water, they don't even need to land. The fish was young, and maybe the shock killed it. Really strange.
  2. This looks like a dragonfly nymph, but I have 2 issues with that; 1.) It's really early in the year and I have not seen any dragonflies. It has been really cold up until this week, 40's at night 2.) This bug is invisible to the naked eye. You cannot see it at all, not even a spec! It killed a baby fancy goldfish in my outdoor pond. 😞 Any help would be appreciated! I'm not sure knowing what it is will help avoid it, but you never know.
  3. Solved!!! I DID put in a root tab from ACO for the first time yesterday, on the opposite corner of the tank! Thank you! I thought an alien visited my tank last night!!!
  4. Nothing prepared me, as I was going to bed last night, to come across something like this. This didn't come from filter debris or anything I can imagine. I've done tanks over the last 20 years, mostly salt, and now now mostly fresh water, and I've never seen anything like this. I googled some kind of water mushroom and that only pulls salt water photos. The kuhli loaches were enthralled with it, eating it and zipping through it, which released the inner brown debris. I fished it out and it was like a fungi. When it dried, there was hardly anything left, just bright green crust.
