  1. Awesome, Im glad shes healthy. Was worried it was stunted or malnourished.
  2. Probably about 4-5 inches. I fixed it, your advice worked! thanks!
  3. supposedly this bristlenose is at least 5 years old, maybe its just smaller than average. yeah i was trying to make it not upside down, ill have to do that next time.
  4. Rescued this tank and it came with a zigzag (Dortityi) rainbow and this pleco. Can anyone identify this guy?
  5. Awesome. Yeah I'm good with them starting a colony in the thank, could use some cleaners. Plus great food for the zigzag.
  6. Could I feed my zigzag(Glossolepis dorityi) rainbow fish my orange neo culls? I know my Angle will eat them.
  7. Big update on the guppies! They had there first drop or at least one of them did. Can confirm 12 fry but there very well could be more and probably are. I also ordered the orange shrimp and they should be shipping sometime today, so look out for shrimp pictures to come! Also I set up a new tank! Its just a little 5.5 gallon that I modified into a cube. Waiting for the dwarf aquarium lily to go crazy. I also just added 4 little bronze corys.
  8. Received my guppies today. They are alive looking great and came in great packaging. They are already starting to color up and I cant wait to see what they look like in the morning.
  9. Thanks! Yes it took me forever to find the right piece of wood. Hopefully the vallisneria in the back will grow to the top as well. I'm gonna breed out a trio of Tuxedo Red Koi Guppies and start a colony of Orange Sunkist Shrimp.
  10. This post was originally dedicated to my 35 gallon hexagon that I refurbished but I have decided that it is now the journal for my MTS journey! I hope you all find my MTS entertaining or aspiring as I grow my aquarium addiction! So I acquired an old 35 gallon hexagon aquarium from a friend that had been sitting empty and unused for quite a few years. The tank leaked, the stand had mold or mildew in the wood and was just over all in pretty rough shape. I stripped all the old silicon out and resealed the tank. Sanded and painted the rims. Sanded and sealed the stand with Killz and then painted it black. I replaced the old hinges with new stainless ones and added a matching handle. The tank did not come with a lid so I made a custom one from a plexiglass. Got it all scaped up. Now I'm waiting on the fish to arrive. Let me know what you think!
