  1. Possibly, but I would definitely use caution. Maybe add a support in the middle. Then watch it for a few days.
  2. Ok, thank you . I'll sit back and watch it and go from there.
  3. I received 2 Apontogeton Cruspus plants a few days ago, they were banged up pretty good. I placed a root tab in each basket and placed them in the tank. I plan on waiting to remove them from the baskets once they start growing a little bit. Would it be better to do that or should I just plant them. I have black sand substrate so I will be using Root Tabs and Easy Green in this aquarium.
  4. I have a 55 I'm trying out with just soil and sand, just a test run, if it shows some promise I'll probably bite the bullet and try his method full on. I have plants not doing too well, so I figured why not.
  5. He has developed a deep dirt and sand capped substrate method similar to the Walstad method. He adds numerous ingredients to his diet that is supposed to last 20 years or more. It's basically an full on ecosystem that requires virtually no water changes and the plants and microorganisms feed the tank. He uses no fertilizers or chemicals. He's created a self sustaining ecosystem. It's very interesting to see his aquariums. I found him in YouTube. Dirt, not diet .
  6. Has anyone tried the Father Fish method? I'm considering trying it, but would like some advice on if it's worth the hassle.
  7. I do have an extra hob for a 55, I'll hook that up and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion.
  8. I'm planning on getting one Oscar for a 90 gallon tank. Was curious if 2 large sponge filters would work. I really don't like canister filters.
  9. My son has a 200 gallon aquarium, anyone recommend a canister filter for it?
  10. I have 2 Dwarf Lilly bulbs in a 55 and 29 gallon established tanks. Ph around 8, have been in for almost 4 weeks with no noticable sign of roots. Has anyone had this issue? Bought them from the Coop.
