  1. Thank you for your response! I have added new plants every once and a while and they haven't ever acted this strange so I'm not sure if that is what would be causing it. I even added a new big rock about 2 weeks ago and they didn't react at all
  2. Hi there! The other day I went to my LFS and picked up some Ludwigia Repens for my tank (I am in Canada so cannot order plants from AC, but I love the easy green!). I gave it a rinse under the tap and planted it in my tank. When I woke up the next morning I noticed my rasboras and a few of my pygmy corydoras were glass surfacing in the corner of the tank very erratically and they have been all day. I noticed my gourami was glass surfacing a little bit as well, but not nearly as much as the rasboras. I tested the water and have 0 chlorine, 7.4 PH, 90ppm GH, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 5 nitrates. I have a 20 gallon tall tank stocked with 12 pygmy corydoras, 8 espei rasboras, 3 cherry shrimp, and a sunset thick lipped gourami. The tank is about a month and a half old and has been cycled with no ammonia spikes in over a month. The fish have been doing really well up until this point. It has many plants in it including hornwort, bacopa caroliniana, java fern, crypt wendtii, etc. I have an HOB filter as well as an air stone set up with a lot of surface agitation, so I don't think it is an oxygen issue. I am concerned the new plant I got brought a parasite, bacteria, pesticide or something in the tank and I'm not sure how to deal with it. I did a 50% water change. I would like to dose some meds, but I'm in Canada and don't have access to them. I have considered adding salt as well, but I don't want to kill the rest of my plants. I added some activated carbon and removed the new plants since I am worried it might be pesticides that were on the plant. Do you guys have any suggestions on what it might be that caused the fish to act strange and if so what should I do about it? Thank you for your help!
