Thanks I will try to remove the hair algae with the toothbrush. As for the aquarium size, it's only a 5 gallon peninsula. Things grow fast and I have to trim plants every couple weeks. But the algae never stops.

Wondered if someone can look at this pic and tell me what this is and how to get rid of it. I've had two planted tanks and both had it. I am not using CO2, just filter floss, chemi pure green, and GFO. Weekly water change. Fluval Nano LED with schedule noon to 8pm including ramp up and down.
