  1. So this tank has been set up for a good bit, and the filter has been active for a few years. That being said I made the mistake of going really light on the substrate and I'm getting really annoyed trying to add root tabs and new plants as they just pop-out. I recently found an awesome piece of driftwood at the LFS and I'm thinking of rescaping the tank. My question is, do I need to be careful of anything when swapping substrate? I have a ton of used aquasoil (and a few new bags) and I was planning on using that. Any tips or suggestions are welcomed!
  2. I did not! It's actually from Aquadecor. It wasn't cheap by any means but I can say I was 100% satisfied working with them.
  3. So I started my journey back into fishkeeping in 2018. I hadn't done it since I was probably 10 years old. My condo does not allow "pets" so I bent the rules a bit and went with something I cannot "pet." I'm a bit of a DIY person so I decided to build the stand and hood myself. 1 year later and I've got a stand that could probably support a small car and a hood that may be a tad overkill, but I like it! All the knowledge I've learned from the YouTube channel has been paramount to my success! Anyhow I couldn't wait to share! Cheers!
  4. I certainly hope so! They've quickly become a favorite of mine. Fingers crossed that more continue to appear!
  5. OK, so I've had a pair of Hillstream Loaches for a little over a year, and all this time I figured they were both males. Their previous tank's (65gal) began to bow in the front so I quickly relocated the entire community to a new 90gal (approx). As with a any new setup I ordered a bunch of plants from AC. A few weeks later suddenly a bunch of baby Hillstream Loaches have appeared. So, my main question is, does AC store Hillstream Loaches with their plants and I got lucky with some egg hitchhikers, or I guess my loaches love their new tank?
