  1. How much would you feed 7 Juvenile Goldfish? They range from just over 5in all the way down to 2in.
  2. I have a Co Op Nano sponge filter in a 3 gallon with a bettafish. I took off the extender for mine as it's a 3 gallon long. It has been doing great. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/sponge-filters/products/aquarium-co-op-coarse-sponge-filter
  3. I have my air pump for my brine hatchery sitting on top of a cloth mouse pad. That reduced most of the noise in my case.
  4. I fed 1TBSP of the powder mixed with 3TBSP of water. Going with the assumption of I fed them wayyyyyy too much, the tank also clouded up a ton.
  5. I recently made a post regarding testing new food for my goldfish. One that was suggested was Repashy Soilent Green I just gave it to my fish about 3 hours ago. They have not stopped pooping. The bottom of the tank is littered with poopy strings. one fishes poop is a good 3in some are now just pooping straight green. I followed the directions on the bottle. Is this just what this food does? or did I screw something up? Thanks, any advice is helpful.
  6. I really like pens, the best one I have found so far is the uni-ball 207 Impact 1.0mm. I prefer the thick pens rather than the thin ones. At least for me it feels like thin pens run out of ink or break easier. https://www.smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JKR4F0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The other one is a nice wallet. I don't have a lot of cards to carry so I didn't need a super bulky wallet with empty pockets. I trialed a few and settled on the TravelLambo Wallet. It is incredibly durable and has gone through the wash at least a dozens times since buying it, and it doesn't show any signs of degradation. https://www.amazon.com/Travelambo-Pocket-Minimalist-Leather-Blocking/dp/B07FPBT1PQ/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=Travelambo+vegan&qid=1600321816&s=apparel&sr=1-16
  7. Awesome! It's in my cart, thank you for the suggestion!
  8. I have been taking care of my Goldfish for over a year at this point. Every so often they will become annoyed by the food I have been giving them. I vary their diets trying to give them a balanced diet. Everyday they get a nice salad usually consisting of spinach or Broccoli they nibble on it through out the day. I have had to switch "main" foods with them every month or so. I started out with API Goldfish flakes (I know not the best choice), then moved to Fluval Goldfish Bug Bites, omega one pellets, Omega One Super Color Flakes (They loved this one for a long time), Hikari Goldfish Pellets, Xtreme Krill Flakes, and now today Fluval Bug Bites Spirulina Flakes (they are going gaga for it). I have tried my best to keep up with their preferences but am running out of ideas/research for what kind of foods I should feed them. Do you guys have any foods that you have had luck with or have been curious to try but didn't get a chance to? Willing to try some out (especially if it's from co op).
  9. What was everyone's fish/adjacent that got them into the hobby? Not necessarily the first but the one that made you take the hobby seriously. For me it was a Red Claw Crab named Window. Honestly I didn't even know what I was doing and tried to do research on the fly how to take care of one of these crabs. Turns out there isn't a lot of information on how to properly take care of one. The pet store I got them from wasn't much help either. So I utterly failed. Poor Window passed causing me to fall into a guilt spiral, I had invested a lot of time and money into this crab so I didn't want to give up after him. I spent the following weeks doing research before diving into aquatics again. I didn't want to cause another aquatic life harm. Thanks to Window I found my true passion for aquatics.
  10. Eventually I will be moving to all live plants when I get the next big paycheck. However at the moment I am using fake plants in all of my tanks. Except for Water cabbage which I am trying to grow in my whitecloud tank.
  11. Hello to everyone on the CARE forum my name is Matthew and I am 26. I have been in the fish keeping hobby "full time" for about a year and a half. Going so far as to getting a job at *big box pet retail* as their resident fish 'expert'. Before that however I have been keeping fish since I was ~9 years old. Unfortunately doing it the wrong way the whole time (goldfish and bettas in bowls no filter). Now to repent for my previous sins I buy betta fish and goldfish that come into my store and nurse them back to health as best I can. At the current time I have six tanks. Unfortunately I only have a few photos of my current setups. 1x 50g Fancy goldfish Aquarium 3x 5g Betta Fish Aquariums 1x 10g White Cloud Tank 1x 10g Tropical Fish Tank I am eager to learn especially with aquarium plants, looking forward to getting to know everyone, and sharing our growth in the hobby together!
