Makes me wonder where miracle grow sources their organic potting soil from.

Still alive. Are there any aquatic plants that grow from seeds? I am using organic miracle grow for my dirt layer. I am thinking that they might of sourced some of it from a pond or something.

Well I am pretty curious on how it will turn out and to see if it will live long enough to identify it.

Okay, here is the back story. About two weeks ago I set up a grow out/farm tank mainly for bucephalandra. I made it a dirted tank with a deep sand substrate just in case I wanted to grow out some root feeders too. Well this morning while I was planting some extra hair grass and val runners, I noticed this stem looking plant popping up out of the sand. What is it? Did it come from the potting soil? Did it come from the play sand? Sorry for the bad pics and cloudiness. Not a photographer and stirred up some debris while planting the val.

I have downsized a few times. I think I have flooded my areas market for them. This last time I gave away 49. I still have 7 adults and fry hiding amongst the plants. They are one of my favorite fish. Active colorful. But damn, they can breed.

Haven't had glowlights in ages. That's a good idea.

I currently have a 40 gallon breeder. I am wanting a cool schooling fish that would keep my platy numbers in check. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Is there any fast growing rihzome plants that don't get over 5 inches. I am wanting to try a cliff aquascape and need something to accent the cliff face. I am not really wanting annubius, way to slow of a grower. I want to be propagating for other tanks.

I am starting a heavily planted 40 gallon. Most of the fish I am wanting, I haven't kept before. So here is the list. 8 blue emporer tetras 4 congo tetras 9 cardinal tetras 6 kuhli loaches 6 panda corries 5 odessa barbs 10 amano shrimp Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am starting to plan out my dream tank. It is going to be 125 to 150 gallons. Haven't decided yet. But I want one that is biggish. I want it Cory cats, tetras, smaller barbs. I am kind of partial to a small group of 4 to 6 angels as a centerpiece. But would like some other options. It has to be plant friendly and be a non-digger.

Finally got one of my hillstream loaches. They are shy little buggers. They make you work to get a photo.

I currently have a 40 gallons breeder. I have 5 paleatus Cory cats, 1 Chinese millstream loach, 2 Borneo millstream loaches, 7 white clouds, 4 nerite snails, a Betta and I started out with 7 platys. Well now I have no idea how many platys I have. You tell me. I just want to know if it is over stocked. The tint of the water is an experiment gone wrong. I was hoping to have a deep dark tea colored dark water tank. But didn't use enough peat. So it looks like green tea almost.

I am thinking about getting a clear for Life aquarium. Not sure on the size yet. But thinking somewhere between 90 to 120 gallons. I was wondering if the cut outs on back could fit an emporer 450 hob filter. This will be my first acrylic. I tried to find info on it but nothing definite.

I love them. But the difference of my two plants are night and day.

I have two of these in my 29 low tech aquarium. One sent pads up to the surface and the other is just growing like a mid ground plant. Is this normal?

I have found many conflicting opinions on this subject. So I want to hear from someone who has actually done this. Who has switched nerite snails from fresh to saltwater and vice versa? I have zebra nerite living in a freshwater tank. I am curious about breeding them. Any help would be appreciated.

I am wanting a centerpiece Fish for my 28 gallon heavily planted cool water tank. I currently have 10 white clouds, 4 nerite snails, 3 Borneo Hilstream loaches, 2 Chinese Hilstream loaches and 10 amano shrimp. I currently run 2 large sponge filters. One with an air stone another with a power head. I just want to add a splash of color. Any suggestions

I have been getting conflicted information on these. Has anybody here kept them in a cold water setup?
