  1. I think she totally is! Thank you!! I got her from an aquarium store that had her labeled as a common pleco, but looking closer I definitely think this is a female bristlenose. I even noticed tiny bristles on her face. I guess that settles her name, since I wanted a bristlenose named Cthulhu haha.
  2. I got a common Pleco about a month ago for my 20 gallon tank, and later as he grows he’ll be moved to my 125 gallon. I’ll be keeping ropefish and potentially bichirs in my 125 gallon, so I want to wait and be sure that it’s safe to add my Pleco. At about what size should be be moved to the 125? How long can I expect it for him to reach that size? I haven’t really seen any growth in the month that I’ve had him. another question: can multiple common plecos live together in your experience? I’ve read a lot of conflicting information, some sources stating that they can, others stating that they can’t. Complementary picture of my Pleco, still haven’t settled on a name for him.
  3. Hello everyone! I got a little common pleco around two weeks ago for my 125 gallon tank. He’s about two inches long right now, I’m very excited to watch him grow. Show me your plecos! I’m open to name suggestions for this soon to be not so little guy. Ah man, I totally forgot to add a photo of him. He’s an albino chocolate common pleco.
  4. Rope fish room?? 👀 I absolutely adore rope fish, I’ll be getting some in a few months for my empty 125 gallon long planted tank. I’ve done a ton of research, but of course the internet is absolutely full of misinformation. Do any experienced rope fish keepers have any good advice they can spare? I need stocking ideas too! I especially love odd looking fish, and aquatic creatures. I would love to have vampire shrimp, are they big enough that rope fish can’t eat them?
  5. Hello, I’m TryingToKeepMyPlantsRooted! I have a 20 gallon aquascaped betta tank, and I’ve just recently acquired a long 125 gallon tank. I’m going to be putting rope fish in that tank, once it’s fully cycled and aquascaped, but I need some other stocking ideas that go well with rope fish. Any suggestions? I’m thinking larger angel fish. I adore strange and odd looking fish!
