  1. This has been the best tool so far in my battle with duck weed. Fingers crossed I got it all and will be rid of it in this tank. It's call the Floater pick, has anyone else tried it?
  2. @JoeQ No I didn't see any but I was doing water changes on other tanks so I didn't spend a lot of time looking at this one.
  3. @JoeQ I have a little bit of new growth happening. Did water change today and added easy green. Fingers crossed it starts coming back more.
  4. @JoeQ I have some anubis in the same tank that's doing good as well as some Java windelov.
  5. @JoeQ I've got it in a part of the tank that gets the most shade from floating plants but maybe I can block out the light in that spot with something more. Would it be better to move it to a more low light tank?
  6. @Colu I'd push prime button to force some water out a few times in case it's clogged somewhere. Other than that you have done everything I would have. May be time to notify Oase to help troubleshoot problem. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.
  7. @Colu is it one that has the flow control on it? Maybe it got moved. Is it making any noise?
  8. @anewbie I placed it in a part of the tank where it is under floating water sprite so it's not getting full light.
  9. So I got this plant from a local fish swap October 21st. I glued it to a rock ( glue on roots only not rhizome) and placed it in one of my tanks. I use easy green and have the light on a timer for 9 hours a day at medium level. It's just not looking very good at all. Is there anything I can do at this point?
  10. Lesson learned, remove eggs right away even if only one snail is in the tank. I was just so shocked to see all the babies. Thanks guys for the input.
  11. @Guppysnail so I was right with my thinking but I have baby purple mystery snails all over the place. When I got them they were so tiny around pea size so I didn't think they could have mated before hand. Another reason I placed them in separate tanks right away.
  12. Ok question, I got 5 purple mystery snails that were about pea size from my local fish swap and had placed them all in separate tanks. Once they were bigger and started laying eggs I wasn't that worried about removing them because I didn't think mystery snails could breed on their own. But in a few of the tanks I have more babies mystery snails. How could that happen? Was I wrong with thinking there needs to be a male and female snail for the eggs to be fertile?
  13. I have this filter and I love it. Easy to clean and I think it does a great job on my 55 gallon. I wish the heater had a light on it to know when it's on. It's also something you need to be careful with when cleaning the filter. That's the main downside to it.
  14. @Colu I normally have meds on hand but they had expired and I haven't had money to order more. Salt is all I have at this time, my wife doesn't know a lot about fish/plants so trying to talk her through it over messages was hard.. I was thinking maybe the containers hold half a gallon?
