  1. I left the light off for 3 days and my anubias grew more leaves. If that is helpful
  2. I have been using a cheap siphon and a 5 gallon bucket to fill up and drain my tanks for about 3 years and need a change. I have seen the cool thing md fiahtanks has and was wondering if anyone else has made something like that. I have a canister filter that isnt in use if that could be useful. Thanks!
  3. That cholla wood will be amazing for your shrimp!
  4. If you could i would get a weather loach they are so elegant and beautiful when they swim and arent aggressive.
  5. I have 8 giant danios in a 55 right now and would not recommend it to anyone they are mean.
  6. I do a layer if fluval stratum then some gravel and finally a top layer of inert sand. The stratum gives the plants nutrients, the gravel holds them in place and gives the benificial bacteria a place to live and grow. The sand is for looks. Hope that helps!
  7. I would add some live stem plants like pearl weed or elodia to pick up excess nutrients.
  8. What was your first tank, plant (etc.) compared to your newest scape? I really need inspiration for my 75g... Thanks so much! My first tank was a 20 gallon with a tetra filter an air pump and a weird marble substrate. its inhbitant was an electric blue crayfish.(i moved him to a 55.) My newest tank is a 5 gallon shrimp tank with s repens and floaters!
