    Just some updates. Saturday water change. Started with 5 Platys in November. Lost one in the beginning, but now have 9. 2 males & 7 females. Val is finally taking off. Its a slow grower but worth the wait. Looking forward to it filling in. Is she not gorgeous? She is my Fav. Thanks for looking. PS: Working on a budget for a 75G Ranchu tank. Squeee!!!

    Thank you very much. But FYI, these babies were born just a few weeks after I got them from PetSmart. They were in a mixed platy tank, so there is no telling what they had already breed with. I did get more fry about 30 days later but they did not survive šŸ˜ž

    @Ali Yes it is. I started with 5 Mickey Mouse sunset platys and a week later there were 3 fry. One is a Wagtail and 2 are looking to be Dalmatian. Counted 5 tiny new fry Sunday. Hope they all make it.

    First Lilly pad of the tank taken a Nov 1st. Now there are more than 5. Will need to take another pic next Tuesday.

    Java Fern baby plants tied to a piece of driftwood. Next time I will use super glue.

    After 2 doses the SOBAKEN Genchem No Planaria Shrimp Safe Planaria Hydra Killer Shrimp Fish Planted Tank" worked on killing the Hydra. It also killed all the snails. I only has pond snails.

    I love Kayaking and a little fishing here on the FL Gulf Coast. I just purchased a new home near a Nat. Seashore. Also love scooting around on my electric scooter.

    My Platys do not like them either. But they love Xtreme Krill Flakes, and Hikari Freeze Dried Bloodworms. I think I need to get them another food for variety. Maybe Xtreme Spirulina Flake? Or a frozen food from a local store?
