I assume yes, but just wondering because the largest of my aquariums is a 55 gallon and most of the others are 20 gallon highs. The 55 gallon cycled much more quickly than the 20's. I was under the assumption that smaller is quicker but to me it makes more sense that a larger aquarium handles spikes better than smaller tanks do. Then I thought it was because there are 12 comet goldfish in there opposed to my other tanks that all but two have no more than two bettas, one tank has three, the other a community tetra tank. The tank with three cycled quickly too, the community not yet. I thought it had but then I added too many fish at once, from zero to 16, then 22. I now know that's a Bozo no no. So how much of the process is aided by fish and how much by the size of the tank? Sorry about asking such a basic question that's probably been answered elsewhere but I've searched and can't find that answer. I'm not trying to ask about my tanks specifically without supplying my water parameters and other details, more in general. All the jibberish was hopefully some context to what's making my autism rage.
