  1. Greetings from Denmark. Last year i had a ton of fun figuering out a way to breed White Clouds in a way that would get a good amount of fry. Egg layers were a first for me. I had so much fun that i really need to find a next, similar, egg laying project for the coming year. Actually, there might be time and money for more than one project. I hope the good people in here can help point me in the right direction. What would be a good next step up from White clouds? Preferably a fish that tolerates lower temps, due to the tanks being in the workshop.
  2. A big hello from Denmark. Sadly my female angelfish past away a couple weeks ago. It took about a year from buying 8 juvenile angelfish to having a pair to lay eggs. Once i was sure i had a pair, i found new homes for the rest of the angelfish. The big dream was having a breeding pair of angels, in the living room tank. It was a sad day when i came home to a dead female angelfish. I have other cold water tanks in my workshop for my overvintering of my mini pond species. But i only have that one tank in the house. Since then i have decided that i want to try my luck at Breeding Kribensis instead. I have considered having congo tetras, siamese algae eaters and maybe some Cory catfish with them. Not sure about the Corys yet. Im not sure about the amount of Congos and Sae's though. What would you suggest? Any other good suggestions on tank mates is very much apreciated too. I think the tank is what you would call medium planted. Not sure though. Kim Esbye Blomberg (Denmark)
  3. I would give my right kidney to be able to keep mini ponds in a climate like yours. Have you had any luck with fry yet?
  4. 2 of my angelfish has paired of, and has been laying eggs (and been eating them) for the last couple of months. I have removed the other angels and community tank mates that were in there, to help the pair in their breeding efforts. And to ensure they were not the ones eating the eggs. Turned out its definately the parents themselves eating them. This made me think though. Is there any good tank mates for a breeding pair of angels, that wont interfere in their breeding? 5. I am trying a setup of a breeding net in an empty tank. The thought is that the eggs will fall to the bottom, and be easier to notice, while the adult fish wont be able to eat them. I can recommend this source of information to people interested in breeding zebrafish: https://youtu.be/HrQHv5RLl0k After work today, i will have another go at it. I will take some pictures and post them here on this Forum. @MickS77 is it ok if i post them here in your thread?
  6. Wow they are tiny. I am trying to breed Zebra danios as my first try at egg scatterers. So far i have succeded in creating a breeding net which gave some eggs. Im pretty sure they all fungused up though. Next test will be with some antifungal meds added.
