  1. Anyone have the Black Emperor’s Tetra? Are Emperor’s less scrappy then Neons? After water changes all my fish get into sexy time and get super aggressive in chasing females and males of their kind. The Neons will smack the hell out of each other. Now that I can tell it’s when 2 males are after a female and honestly I don’t like it because sometimes it becomes bothersome for the other fish just chasing each orjer around friendly.
  2. I’m aware of the difference between N and K class. I understand that the K class is a hybrid. However K Class means that it’s now a standard accepted Hybrid in the Hobby and it shouldn’t be mixed either. They are both in separate tanks I’m quite aware. I currently have 2 tank up and running and starting a 3rd. I am preserving the N Class, I don’t understand your message? Nothing comes as a bummer!
  3. I think he amazing. Looks like it been a odd Puffer for people to be like, wow what’s that? Nice get him!!!
  4. They seem to be happy with the setup. They are still very little but big enough to sex. I have 2 males that still give each some back and forth. 1 has chosen to circle the Bulbous part of the Tree and literally circles around it as the rest school, other male included. If he see the other male chase is on. Going to add little tiny sticks like vines around the tree so he can Mean Mug the other Male but not be able to swim towards him. Lol He’s Definitely the Big Papa Pea up in there! Otherwise they are all over together and alone. They also like the 60 GPH flow way in the back for fun sometimes. It’s very slow…but they love it. I have 6 Females and 2 Males it fun to watch them shoal because sometimes the leader will stop to explore something and it looks like bumper car and god forbid they touch one another because that splits the shoal. They’re very entertaining.
  5. That’s smart and might work for my AFD!
  6. Thoughts? Tips, Ideas. I have some more vines I plan on gluing on. I ran out of glue. Seriously I need vats of glue!
  7. Love them both myself. I would also suggest Rotala Wallichii and Red Roof floaters.
  8. You need to find a friend! I’m so want to start a program like Rover for aquarium cleaning and fish sitting! Lol
  9. Most my fish are starting to love the Rapashy. Even Pea Puffers are starting to graze on it in the other tank. If I put it mid range my Threadfin Rainbow will eat it too. It’s only my Cherry Barb’s and snail who don’t care for it. However the Barbs hunt the worms in the soil so they’re fine between feedings. Anyone else tried this stuff?

  11. Unfortunately not with N and K class Endler you don’t. That’s 10-15 dollar a fish vs 2 for a guppy. Plus N Class is becoming lost in the wild best to keep em natural. My thoughts personally. Not against you at all.
  12. Oh ok sweet. I have N Class Neon Green and K Class Japanese blue. Not together obviously. Was just looking at another nano fish to breed into my LFS for other, accidentally stumbled upon them. Was a thought, I did read they don’t hold eggs and release them all at one time. It’s egg development release then repeat. I’m also about to stumble into a 3rd aquarium here soon because I found the love of Gobies…the of course one pipe dream retirement tank, discus as far as the eye can see. Lol
  13. Totally noob so bear with me. Are Least Killifish removed enough to be in a tank with Endler without breeding together? Some say no but their a livebearer so I would assume yes. I personally don’t like conversations outside of this group. Many fish people can be mean and elitists!
  14. Now that my aquariums are fully cycled and actually thriving at 2 months…now there are tiny microorganisms they can feed on as well as me feeding them live brine shrimp, bloodworms, I have placed live blackworm everywhere within the soil and feed them to my ADF. They pop up alot in the morning or if I add pellets. My Cherry Barbs have learnt they can push the soil to get them out. My puffers has plenty of snails I etc. Anyways I was wondering what everyone thoughts were on Fish Fasting once day a week? Do you do it? Also I’ve had my Pea Puffers for 3 weeks now and got them extra small. They are now not as scared as I come up to the glass. Got them to eat the live worms the other day. I have 6 in a 20 gallon. 4 are brighter than 2 other but don’t see the belly markings to tell sex yet. They are young because they all still school with each completely. I’ve seen a few pushing and shoving but nothing excessive yet. They have plenty of places to hid, I often lose them because their so little and blend into every. Also update on the African Drawf Frog. The Maracyn turnt the red pimple on his nose white and fuzzy. He is at the top of the hospital tank because of that but it helping me to do methayline blue on it. Today is day 5 of treatment. He’s not eating but I’m doing the Pedialyte soaks that other AFD owners suggested. I really hope the poor guy makes it. They really do just throw themselves down after grasping for air and their Clumsy.
  15. Lower your amount of food in the tank and some will die off! Also I totally over fed mine to produce babies for my Pea Puffer so I’m all for the buy another tank and make snails babies for your hubby’s new Puffers!! You can also sell them on aquabid as feeders.
  16. Omg I love you right now! I love snails up close and personal. I have their cousins the Ramshorn and they do so weird stunts in my tank. I over fed them a little to put them in my other tank as well. It’s amazing to see them moving in the little egg sac if you get a magnifying glass. Well like two weeks in from being laid!
  17. Will be watching that. Didn’t know of the Venom. Not a Cory owner yet. I love how surprised I can be with every fish. Always something special of each type, breed etc.
  18. No Nitrates? Is your tank cycled yet? That’s a more sensitive fish. Ammonia test? Sorry for loss and good luck with the others.
  19. Where is the Discretionary Funds in my Taxes…snailsmatter!
  20. That’s so true. It’s hard to keep a 2 to 1 ratio of males to females. I was so happy that my 1st set 1 female made it through all the males. She is almost at the age to breed now. Then it’s fun when their ready to Pop and struggling a bit for a day or two swimming. Then they go from fat to skinny. Soon as they lose their babies all the men come running to mate. I notice that my Endler Males do a vibration of their body in a circle around the female in courting. Less chasing then guppies do. They will chase her of she goes elsewhere but they don’t chase harass her. In my tank they like to do their sexy time in my floating log. Also you are right about the iridescence scales. You can see everything perfectly the spine etc. How she fans her tail constantly.
  21. It depends if your keeping K or N Endlers. I personally don’t like Guppies but a few crow breeds. I love endlers. Person preference and Pure Endlers are hard to come by so I wouldn’t try to change my colorless females at all. They
  22. I have been thinking of the possibility. Dude I wasn’t even trying but I have Neon Tetra Fry and apparently they are hard to breed. I also have 3 baby Barbs as well. I can only tell because their clear like the other with a black stripe. They were so hard to feed at first, had to get vinager eels and mad green water. I have been currently trading at my LFS for java fern for my logs in both my 20/40 gal.
