  1. Thanks for chiming in Cory. I know that it was mostly just a byproduct of shipping internationally so I'm glad it's on the radar.
  2. This is just a suggestion and feedback I have for the website I guess. I know international shipping has launched in a few new counties now and I think that's amazing. What I do wish for is that we could shop the U.S site outside of the U.S. I'm in Canada and live fairly close to the border. Since international shipping started, I can only visit the website and browse items that are available in Canada which is limited at this point understandably. Due to Covid, I haven't been able to ship things to mailboxes at border like many Canadians do for quite some time. Now that some things easing in terms of travel, not being able to order from the U.S site is a bit of a bummer without having to go through the whole VPN thing. What also kind of sucks is that all the wealth of knowledge that was available just from reviews, plant lists, and product information is all unavailable now to the average person outside of the U.S in these countries. I remember watching videos a while back where Cory would go through the site to help people learn about what a good selection of easy plants are by browsing reviews and the care list/requirements of the plant. Unfortunately with the whole geo-based IP address website, we can no longer do that. Maybe my situation is very niche and I know having a big ecomm website is super complicated but in the future perhaps, it would be great to be able to shop the U.S just to see everything that aquarium coop has to offer and for those who are able to travel to the states, be able to buy and ship items to the border.
  3. It's an fx6 with a mix of different stuff like ehiem substrat etc. Yeah I'm thinking it's probably clogged which is why I switched out a small portion of it.
  4. I changed out maybe like 10% of the bio media and crammed extra I there.
  5. Has anyone encountered a nitrite spike in an established aquarium? I've been running my heavily planted 125 for over 2 years and I noticed a nitrite spike. None of the fish seemed bothered by it but I've been changing water quite frequently. Also did an ammonia test and got 0 out of it. I figured it might be waste building up so I vacuumed a bit, cleaned out the filter, and replaced some of the bio media as well just incase since I haven't changed it since I started. Still getting some nitrites steadily rising. Anyone else ever experience this? Do you change your bio media often? Any ideas on if it was some sort of die off of bacteria, how long it will take to come back to and balance out in an established setup?
  6. Thank you! Yes the tubing is 1 inch and I saw this as well. I'll have to inquire what the shipping would be like for Canada. Appreciate the response and ideas! You would think there's would be a simple and cheap option from fluval but maybe I'll also consider the inline route.
  7. I just set up CO2 and I'm not loving all the micro bubbles. Curious if anyone has their CO2 diffuser by the intake of an fluval FX canister filter? Any potential issues with this? I feel like maybe a bacteria oxygen issue? I know it purges air every 12 hours so I would image that might help any issues? I know I could try to diy a reactor but I'd rather not at this point and can't find any premade reactors that will fit. Let me know if I'm being ridiculous! If you actually have experience doing it, i would love to know! Thanks!
  8. I'm eagerly awaiting this as well! Running out of root tabs ;)
  9. Random question... How hardy is bacteria? I'm trying to find a way of doing faster water changes. Normally I pump water in from a brute because I don't have a long enough hose and it's really slow. Can I just use my intake for my fx6 to pull water in as I have an extra intake valve? Would water temp and newly dechloronated water have any negative effect going straight through the filter first before into the tank?
