I don't find dropcheckers to be helpful for most people. Are your plants pearling? What size is the aquarium? 3bps is probably plenty, unless it's a huge tank.  Are the bubbles mostly dissolved by the time they reach the surface? If so you're good, if not, you may want a different diffuser to make smaller bubbles.

Wow 🤩 I’m a bit star struck that you have replied I’m a massive fan of the Channel and your business

yes they are dissolving thanks for response

I’ve learnt so much from your YouTube channel so thanks 🙏 very much enjoy rest of your day or night what ever time it is there Kelvin

  2. Hi guys any Co2 help please

Very intrested to see the split on this one.

Do you use a background and if so what type?

Solid colour, graphic, applied or held on by tape?

I think when I first started with a tank as a kid it was bare back, however in my adult fish keeping I have always had one. That is until my new 90g, possibly. Due to budget, I have always just got the double sided printed, laminated graphic from lfs. You know, the ones where one side is more blue and water looking and one side is rocks and green plants. That is what I have sitting beside the tank now. When I went to install it, hubby said that it made the tank look cheap. I am very torn. On one hand it hides the cords and all the stuff that keeps the tank running. It also gives that full look while plants are settling in and growing. I can however see hubby's side in that with everything else being real and much more natural looking, it looks fake and sorta brings the class level down. Not sure which way to go. Thoughts on my tank, pictures below. Also what is your preference when it comes to your tanks?

I’ve not seen any Blackbeard yet green hair algae seems my only problem I’ve just started using a product algaeexit by easy life and that is having a positive effect and my lighting is on around 8am as I like to see and feed my fish before work then the light in room gets very bright around 1pm so i have lights on a timer which go off around 1pm and come back on in the evening for another 3hrs this is method i read about online and is what I’ve been trying for over a month now thanks for the interest and comments on tank

But I’ve also used liquid carbon since the beginning and was told that gets rid of black beard so maybe that’s why I’ve not seen it

I'd be really interested to know if the algae battles were different continent to continent - black beard algae is kicking my butt at the moment in the 20 gallon...

I love your tank @Cork fish keeper!!  Since you're improving with your treatments...don't stop!  You're on the right track!!  Also...out of curiosity...what's your current lighting time period?  And, what type of lighting are you using?

I believe what you are talking about is the Sera O Nip tabs. Cory used to show them stuck to the glass and a bunch of fish nibbling away at it. Sera changed the formulation of the tabs a year or two ago, and he doesn't talk and show them much anymore because the are not as good.  If you want something to stick on the glass like that and fish will go crazy for, get some cubes of freeze dried blackworms or freeze dried tubifex worms. You can press them against glass and they stick and fish love them.

Would never of thought of sticking the cubes to glass wow can’t wait for the morning feed now thanks 🙏

  9. Hi all quite often when I’ve watched videos of aquarium co-op they put a type of food that looks like it’s stuck to the glass please what type of food is this I’ve certainly not seen anything like it fish stores here in Ireland ????

  10. Hi all not sure how but I appear to have snails in my aquarium which I haven’t introduced intentionally they are at present very small I think are rams horn I cleaned out some sponges from filter to find 5 or 6 of them and occasionally some appear on glass which I’m removing any suggestions welcome
