I don't have a favorite food but my fish do. Xtreme krill flakes makes them lose their minds.

On the outside I just use a damp paper towel followed by a dry one.
The inside I use a long handled scrubber and an old credit card.
Then follow up with a gravel vac and water change.

I think that's the issue here. The roots were really growing & then one day it was like they were all gone
The only thing I have noticed on mine is they like light. The ones directly below the lights seem to grow roots at least twice as fast as the ones in the shade.
You stated that you are also losing fish. Did you figure that out? Just wondering if the two problems could be related.

Only maintenance that I have to do to mine is give them a root trim about every 10 days or so. That and thin out the numbers of plants weekly.

One water change per week. 20-30%

They could easily both be males. If one is female them you will know when they get around to breeding.
That's when their male/female parts get rather obvious. Looks like two males to me but I am no expert on rams.
I have been studying them though as I plan to get some soon.

My buddy has a indoor pool. They don't use it. The other day he asked me for my thoughts on making it an indoor Koi pond.
I just told him to do a ton of research first as I have no idea how this would work. They keep it clean, they just don't use it.
His wife said it was fine with her. Not sure yet if he is serious. Time will tell I guess.

Since they have probably been in those pots for weeks or months anyway, I don't see where a few more days would matter,

My amanos are like vultures for sinking foods I drop for my Kuhli loaches and Bolivian ram- they will take foods that are equal to them in weight and perch on a leaf somewhere so the others can’t get to it.
anybody else have this problem, and ideas to keep them away?
I've never kept Amano shrimp but from what I have read that is normal.

Makes you wonder how some people stay in business.

I'm thinking the Tetras gave the Rasboras the courage to swim in the open.

Popped up on youtube so I gave it a watch. Many videos later I realized Cory had a store brick and online.
Then shortly after that, I was like WOW they got a forum too. So here I am.

Luckily the fish won't care, unless it stays incredibly hot and you need to remove humidity to cool down the tanks. I have never been to Georgia so I cannot say I would have any feeling on the temperature and necessary precautions for cooling a fish tank in it.
You won't have a problem keeping the fish cooled off. Every house in Georgia has ac.

We'll be movin somewhere near Marietta. I heard that humidity was pretty bad down there. Hopefully, we'll get used to it. 😂
Marietta is pretty nice but a bit busy for me. I live about 100 miles south of there.
I've been here all my life so the humidity doesn't bother me. Now if you come from a low humidity area it can be hard to take. A friend of mine moved down from NY state about 20 years ago. He has never gotten used to it.

Nice crabs, love the names. Sounds like the Adams family in there.
