  1. So in an earlier post I had described that my guppies in my 75g tank seemed to be infected with some sort of internal parasite. Anyway I have dosed the tank with general cure because that is what I had handy I am currently on the second day of the second dose that is called for according to the instructions on the box. After more observation I still see some clear feces coming from the fish. I know that the time do the 25% water change has not come yet however, I want to be sure that the parasites are eradicated so how soon could I start another cycle of medication?
  2. It seems that many of my guppies in my 75gallon have internal parasites. I made this diagnosis based on my observation of clear white poop from the fish as well as their lethargic behavior. I watch some aquarium co op videos on the topic. In the video I understood to “follow the directions on the box” however, I also understand that there is an aquarium co op directions for dosing meds for internal parasites. I have plants in the infected 75gallon tank as well as bristlenose pair. I have tested the water and it is fine. Which directions are best to follow?
  3. Hello everyone, I’m getting some new guppies and cherry shrimp in. The tank I’m planning on putting them in is a 29g which has been up and running for over 2 years and seems to be cycled. I tested the water today, PH was 8.2 ,no ammonia or nitrite, and 10ppm nitrate with a GH of over 215.8ppm and a KH of 196.9ppm. I tested the KH and GH straight out of the tap and had the same readings. Is this too much hardness and too high of a ph in the water that would be harmful to the guppies and cherry shrimp???
