  1. Ok, thanks so much for the feedback. He's still really fiesty and ate just now but if he slows down I'll definitely keep euthanizing in mind. I'm unsure of the cause beyond bullying. This particular tank has had no changes in 6 months (outside maintenance) except for some corydora babies being born.
  2. This afternoon I noticed one of my corys has a huge chunk of their eye seperated from their head. Im unsure what to do. He clearly has been beat on and I have him in an isolation tank with some melafix. Do i need to try and remove this from the face to help them heal? Sorry for the not perfect pics. Its not easy to capture.
  3. Api test kits. Tank is 60 gallons, set up 2.5 months. Started with live fritz bacteria and filter media from my 5 month cycled 10 gal. Its decently planted thanks to lots of cuttings from a friend. Though i am fighting some bacteria. I just retested the water and: Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate .05, gh 8, ph 7.5, kh 7. 😞 I did a 25% water change when i found a dead odessa 2 weeks ago, and was doing 15ish every 2 weeks about.
  4. This morning I pulled a dead cory that must have passed last night. After my first feeding, I noticed one acting weird and pulled him out of the tank. He has bulging eyes and one of his gills is bright red. His tail also doesn't look as full as the other 3 in the tank. The water is all testing normal. I do have 14 Odessa barbs in this 60 gallons. Could this be them?? I found a dead Odessa 1 week ago, but again all water tests are coming in at a good range. (I did have an ammonia spike with the dead Odessa but a 10% water change got rid of it completely). The shrimp are shedding well, my neon tetras and honey gouramis seem fine. Is this bullying or something I need to take more drastic action?? (this is my first over 10-gallon tank so I'm a lot out of my depth)
  5. Hi all!! I’m Kham located on Atlanta GA. Just got into the hobby a few months ago ( it’s been a slippery slide from my first 3 gallon tank I started purely for poop water for my plants). I am still learning but trying to take it slow and focus on freshwater (cause again . . . Plants) not the best aqua scaper but my 20 gallon and my new 60 gallon.
  6. Pet supermarket (smaller chain store out here) had this guy in a 10 gallon tank. My 60 gallon only has 12 odessa barbs at the moment so I sat there googling him for 10 mins then decided to bring him home. Been researching more at home and I’m not sure if he was correctly labeled. His around 6” long 🙃 Is he a bumblebee? Is he ok with my odessas?? (This is my first over 20 gallon tank) Sorry that the photos aren’t ideal he’s been hiding I had to bother him to even get identifying pics 😭
