  1. Thank you! They seem to be full of energy for sure
  2. Some of the bladder snails in our 3 gallon cube decided to show off today and surf the biofilm. I know a lot of people think they are pests, but we find them adorable, and they do such a good job on cleanup!
  3. Fishies have arrived!!! 20 chili rasboras A blue-eyed lemon pleco named Aquaman 😉 Would you like to see? Of course you would!!
  4. Background changed out to blue. Fish are on their way and should be here tomorrow. We are getting 20 chili rasbora and a lemon pleco... Shrimp to join at a later date
  5. I considered it, but I am going for a.... implied Wonder Woman tank.... the colors, the jet, but not the Princess herself. The idea being that if someone knows it is a WW tank, they appreciate it. If they don't, it is a pretty tank with cool fish.
  6. Right now it is a black vinyl backdrop. I thought about plants behind the rocks, but i really wanted the slate flush against the glass. I am thinking for now I am going to change the backdrop to a solid blue
  7. All the plants are in! Gonna change the background to a blue background to make the slate stand out more. So so so happy with the way this looks!
  8. Most of the items are here! Invisible jet planter with Monte Carlo from ACO Amazon sword in back corner from ACO (because of course a Wonder Woman tank needs a sword... an amazon sword, right?) Pleco cave in the slate corner Still waiting on: a crypt some anubias nana that will be glued onto the slate Overall, very excited with how the tank is coming together! Almost ready to start ordering fishies!
  9. More Lynda Carter, since I am going for the yellow red and blue theme
  10. So... in 14 gallons, would a school of 20 chili rasboras be comfortable? They are so tiny, and I read that bigger schools are better... what do y'all think?
  11. This is absolutely true. He was a complex and interesting guy
  12. Well, the gravel came in and it was a bust. It was more green than yellow, so we had to order a different one.... The good news is that the invisible jet is here! Just the right size and waiting for substrate and plants!
  13. Eventually we want to breed lines but since this is our first experience with guppies, we figured mutts would be hardier. And they are gorgeous! They are hard not to love
  14. Right now 4 of the 6 think they are guppies and they are schooling with the new mutt guppies. It is adorable!
  15. As a huge fan of Wonder Woman, it was no surprise to anyone that knows me that eventually I would have a themed tank. Petco has the aqueon cube on sale, so a purchase was made today! The plan so far is to have chili rasbora for the red, blue velvet shrimp for the blue, and yellow substrate. I also have plans to make a planter out of an invisible jet statue. Very excited about this project!
  16. 2 females, 4 males... poor gals lol
  17. You have no idea how ridiculously excited we are now. You would have thought we won the lottery to hear us "Is that a snail on that statue?" "Where?" "RIght there..... it IS! We have bladder snails!"
  18. Depends on how often you are willing to do water changes 😂
  19. Since you have been in the hobby, what has been the greatest surprise? I mean, the thing that you didn't expect to love, but you fell in love with. Also, what is your greatest disappointment? The thing that you really thought would make you happy, and just... didn't? For me, the greatest surprise has been snails. I got a mystery snail for a clean up crew, and I never thought I would really LIKE them, I just thought they were useful. But I have fallen in love with snails, all breeds, all colors. They are adorable! My greatest disappointment was shrimp. I really thought I would just be all about the shrimp, and watching them eat, and all that... and we got some.... and... they just don't do much for me. They are pretty, and they are kinda cool, but they don't interest me like I thought they would. How about y'all?
  20. Language barriers, I tell you.... I asked if he made it himself or if he bought it, and he told me "no, the fish didn't lay eggs"
  21. The person who runs the stream is Japanese, I think, so I am running into a language barrier... so far I have gotten that it is made of straw
