Greetings everyone. I'm posting a picture of my female Cory that has had a swollen eye getting worse over 2 years. I have tried paracleanse, ich x, maracyn, fungus cure and general cure from api, sulfaplex from seachem. Ph is 7.6, temp 76F, nitrates between 20-40 (twice a week water changes), no ammonia no nitrite, Kh is 1. Live plants some random Java fern looking plant, Water wisteria, anubias golden and nana. She does eat and lays eggs every once in awhile when I water change to 65-67F. Comes to the front every morning to blink with her other eye waiting for food, weird Cory haha. I do let her kidneys rest for 7 days and use carbon to remove the meds after the full treatment for 24 hours then back to regular sponge filter only. Sponge filter was in main tank for several months before using it in hospital 5 gallon plastic tote/ 8 gallon glass tank. Swapped tanks after 8 months from first treatment to plastic tote and had that running for 4 months with same sponge. The readings were from main tank she is in now since she started getting real pale. Hospital tank was the same except nitrates were barely readable and only water wisteria with crushed coral to bring ph up. Tap water is 7.2 then drops to 6.8 after a few hours with an air stone.
