  1. If you play video games they are like steam accomplishments or ingame accomplishments, but applied to forums. People like "gamified" experiences.
  2. Yea I thought about going that route and honestly should have. My QT tank turned in to a betta tank lol.
  3. Usually have whole grain oats with blueberries. And coffee of course. Supposed to be healthy but I honestly just tolerate it rather than like it. I need to add some variety though it's getting boring but I'm not a morning person so I don't like a ton of prep involved.
  4. Love native species tanks. If I had a ginormous tank I'd like to do bluegill as an alternative to Oscars.
  5. Towards the end it looks like he's casting a spell.
  6. We saw the same one lol. They do have some nice bettas. More than I'd like to spend personally but nice.
  7. @PineSongWell said. I do indeed feel my best when I do those things. I'm glad I never got in to social media. People thought I was weird and probably still do when I never got a myspace and refused to sign up for facebook. Nowadays a lot of them are concerned about privacy and all the information they put out that's always going to be there. I didn't do it to be weird though. I worked in a field where we foresaw how that information COULD be used and decided I'd rather not.
  8. @Brandon pSince January I think. But when the power goes out I do have to go thru and click the colors again. That's the only part I don't like about the light. With the fluval I could set all the whites to 37% and red to 26% easily if I wanted to. With the finnex it's more work to set the intensity. Not a big deal but still.
  9. I love the fluval 3.0 for it's ease of customization and easy to get back settings if the power goes out. I have a finnex planted + that is a hassle to set the colors and you have to redo the whole thing if the power goes out, otherwise it's a great light as well. Then on my betta tank I have a super cheap aquaneat that grows low light plants just as good as the fluval to my eyes.
  10. It could be feeling harassed by the guppies. Mine go dormant for a while when my betta starts picking at them. They're probably moving around when the lights are out.
  11. Celexa and Buspar are working atm. Exercise is great but it's hard to stay motivated long term.
  12. No idea he was even sick, which was the way he preferred apparantly. I don't blame him though, his illness was his business.
  13. I just feel dumb in having no clue how this works lol. I've watched the video but my brain isn't the handy diy'er type.
  14. This is Ms. Murrica. She's a red white and blue plakat. Hard to get a side pic because she's so curious she stares at the phone.
  15. One of the fishtubers had emailed the companies about both products. This is their responses: Seachem Prime: 1ppm ammonia, 2ppm nitrite per dose Fritz Complete: 1.5ppm ammonia, 1ppm nitrite, 10ppm nitrate per dose I don't know if Seachem just forgot to include nitrate reduction in the email. Both can be dosed up to 5X safely.
  16. From what I've seen pricing depends on whether you're buying WYSIWYG driftwood (the picture is the piece you receive) or cheaper for a random piece. I messaged you a link to a source.
  17. Good on you for trying to give it a better life. I'm impressed that it was in a school hallway. I can imagine how horribly that would go with American schoolkids.
  18. Spongebob Squarepants had time cards that showed how much time has passed in an episode. It was narrated by a french guy. Later on they became meme templates.
  19. Agreed with above it won't hurt anything but you'll just be losing out on flow. No airstone/sponge filter is going to come close to the flow you get from a hob. As long as you're fine with that go for it.
  20. My cat live catches mice. One time I saw her walking towards me delicately holding a field mouse in her mouth with it's arms and legs flailing. She set it down in front of me and when it tried to run she slammed her paw down to attempt to hold it in place.
  21. I have a 10 gallon with a single betta and some mystery and ramshorn snails. She de-antennaed all my snails in no time at all. Even now she occasionally bumps one off the glass and watches it fall just to be a you know what. I don't think I'd be able to keep anything with her.
