The hang back was given to me and it no longer filters as well as it should. So I am really excited to change filtration system.

I have a marineland like the picture. I would like to change to ziss filter and a medium or large sponge filter. I will be filtering a 55 gallon and this is my first planted tank. I just wanna make sure I’m buying the right filtration. This would put me one step closer to ordering my first bucket List fish Threadfin rainbow.

Tannins in the water. I did not soak a piece of wood long enough. It’s the first time I try to use wood in my fish tank.

I know the picture isn’t the best. But does anyone know what kind of fish this is? My local fish store went out of business and this school of 5 needed a home.

Grow plants for the first time.

Hi I’m to lighting any help would be appreciated. I have a 55 gallon tank and was thinking of getting 2 20 inch string rays . My tank has a bar in the middle each half is 23 inches or is it better to get one big 48 inch light. Help please I don’t know what to do.
