Sorry this happened to you if they did not freeze you may get lucky depending on the plant. Keep them wet, warm them up, and plant. Make sure you tell who you delta with the story . Good luck I would plant them.

Hmm? Not sure if I have any aliens growing in my dehumidifier yet it's in a bedroom and new I have to empty the barrel. I did top off 3 tank's with it adding cichlid salt,s to the Tanganikan tank,s and nothing to the South America bio just about one inch to each.

I understand why you used the rocks but I wouldn't have myself if the sponge is cycled. You would probably be just fine the tank is full of BB you are losing out on what a good porous media in the filter would do for you. If the tank has been running for a while now and your just making changes to your type of filter using your old sponge filters you should be ok. I myself hate them filter types the O rings and such. Make sure your useing some lube on the rings. Just chep Vaseline is fine.

I put in a dehumidifier in my small fish room. I have a 50gal barrel for the drain off. The top off rate on the tank's is up and I'm very cool with that. The question is did I just make 45gl of R/O water. The test strip showed GH/KH at 0 PH 6.0

Don't hurry go slow is my opinion my hobby room is all most done but I took months. I would go one inch on your air system just go with the thin stuff

I have a marineland aquarium light pod system. It has been in a box for some time and works. The pods just snap onto the strip. The strip is in test mode on my 45gl tall the pods have 4 led,s per unit. You can place the pods in any configuration on the strip . The line up left to right now is W/P/B/W/W/P/W/W/B/P/W letters stand for white/plant/blue. I can't do a PAR Test. If anyone has a history with this system please feel free it help. I will stick to low the medium plants to start.

Yes a tall tank 2 feet tall .I broke it down to build a fish room it moved two times over the years and held water 32 years. So I finally got to fixing it up and setting it up again. It has seen a few make overs . But plant tank in a dark hall with zero light is a frist. This a kinda a peak at what will change until I get plants

I finally got the first tank my wife wanted 32 years ago silicone sealed and full of water in our entrance hallway. It's a oddball tank to me a 45gl tall. 24x36x12 she wants a planted community tank. TALL and skinny hopelessly stuck. Should I just ask the crew to just send a prayer

I've just left it all alone every now and then I see a 👶 over the years I guess may 10 or so have grown I have a 55gal with about 20 now and a big fat monster mommy dropping eggs all the time. I put them here and there as a clean up crew. Nothing special Nothing fancy just 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛ 😺 🐱 😸 🐈 😻

I water change system will happen I've already run the pvc line. My problem is iam on a Septic system I can't dump that kind of water into it as old as it is I have no way to drain . I would have to Capture and pump. I have to treat the water .so the plan is pump to a holding tank / treat/ pump to tank's. I may have to revise the idea for waste water. Florida home so it all has to go overhead through the attic. In and out Fun don't you thing? But i am totally committed to the project. Retirement in 5yr . This is going to be baby. 🐢

The plan in the display tank is still open. Over stock cichlid tank ? Maybe? the main reason is time extended water changes due to my job. Cichlids are on my mind but a over stocked tank will run out of room in time. This fish room is a 10x12 bedroom using 3 out of the four walls due to a window I don't want to block. 🐚 dwellers are in the lab's are in 75 now and two more 75g mixed are wet around the house . My 30 year old 45 tall is getting sealed. I have piston pump to install . Most of the rescue fish. ( and yes they all came to me as rescue fish.) I have a 55gal just full of cory Cats 😆 what huge project.

Do some research on nano fish there are so many options it's crazy.

You will be ok to just add spring water from the store your only working with 5gal tank. My nano tank is spring water only it's simple and easy

Dragon stone; you can buy 44lb boxes from Lowes on line and or the store will order for you. Under Landscape rock. A few other choices available as well. If you order it right it will come right to the house. About a $1 a pound I got two small and one large back in July

Salt; You can if not in a hurry put it in the 55gal trash can . I would, slow and steady as always worked well for me. Salt should kill anything that lived in fresh water 💧 👌

I broke my pump right off the bat?? 😆 So I guess will have to come up with a plan soon..No worries it's all about the question how many MM,s is in one pump
