  1. How big do dwarf chain loaches get? They won't hurt or mess with my neons or mollies right? How do I feed that type of fish since I've never had a loach? Will they be fine with pearl gouramis because I'm planning on getting one or two in the future. Edit: Oh and am I able to have one chain loach or do I have to get a few of them.
  2. I don't know if they are compatible with the fish I currently have though
  3. I watched a video and it had said that alum powder could be used to kill snails and snail eggs as well as planaria. But I was wondering if putting the recommended amount of powder straight into my fish tank would be fine with my other fish without killing them. I know I said I would buy a snail trap and use the snails but I really want to get rid of them permanently since I don't want them in my main display tank and I would have to order or go buy the items for the snails and I don't have the time currently. If I did put alum powder in the only way to slowly get rid of the powder would be to do water changes right? And to get the dead snails and eggs out I would have to take decorations out and wash them as well as plants and would have to siphon the sand to slowly take the eggs out correct? Because I don't want to do anything wrong and mess with water parameters too much or hurt my fish.
  4. I think I'm going to get a snail trap like Samanthabea said since I could sell them to my local fish store and it gives me a better reason to get a pea puffer which I was planning to get anyways.
  5. Thank you but is there a better way to get rid of them cause I don't really want to kill them with my finger since I kinda wanna avoid touching them also since I would probably have to do that frequently cause i don't know how to spot their eggs. I also want to get rid of any eggs I have currently to prevent having to deal with snails in the future. I also wanted to ask how I could remove any snails on the plants I get before I place them in my tank.
  6. I'm new to this forum so if I do something wrong I'm sry but I wanted to ask people on how to get rid of snails. I realized I would start having a problem with them today since they started showing up. I also realized how much algae was forming on my decorations and glass. I had gotten the snails from a plant I had bought from PetSmart without the knowledge that snail eggs were on them. I know snails are good for eating things in the tank but I don't like how they look and they creep me out. I wanted to know the best ways to remove them. I have a 20 gallon fish tank with 4 balloon mollies and 6 neon tetras.
