  1. A true linear pump will be the best, but you really can't find smaller sized ones that I have found. My issue with buying a pump that big is the noise from bleeding off all the extra air I am not using. Having that constant back pressure in the air lines from what i heard read/heard eventually kills our pumps so i have always been forced to look for smaller options. I have 15 aquariums and running this little pump is really quiet and does the job very well. They do make different sizes but i have only personally used the AL-15A ALITA Linear Air Pump - 10 ~ 30 LPM
  2. they will be fine for about 8 months to a year. sorta depends on how fast they grow or mature into adults, but the only issue you might see is if a male/female pair up together. Then that pair will be super aggressive to the others. If they don't actually pair off then you shouldn't have any issues.
  3. Yeah it was a fun experience . Meanwhile the parents have laid 2 clutches but I didn't have tank space to even bother trying to deal with them . Lol I guess more tanks are in our future .
  4. A little update on the Angels . They are getting close to market size . They ended up being the black dominate color from their parents .
  5. Colors may be a little on the lighter side but not horrible . Maybe the med trio has him a little stressed/tired . I wouldn't panic, just watch him closely for a few days and see how it goes .
  6. A little humor for the hobby . Not to the point of eating gravel but I will admit to dreaming about the next tank setup . 😂🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. Keep at it . We find our cories will eat the eggs before we can separate them. Good luck The parents are a pair that paired off from our main display tank . We had purchased about 10-12 young angels then we ended up with 3 breeding pairs . We have had a bunch of eggs laid and got them to the wiggler stage but would die after that . Our lives are pretty busy normally but recently we have had a little extra time ( example I was able to come home a couple times a week) so extra water changes in the breeder box etc and we were able to get them past that wrigglers stage. The picture is the pair that these fry came from. A Silver and Marble .
  8. Yes the eggs layers are much different to deal with than east livebearers 😂.
  9. Well after just a few egg hatching to wrigglers stage we have finally have got them to swimming fry . Crossing our fingers we can keep it up . They are about 2 weeks at this point . Apologies for the busy picture . I just fed baby brine shrimp.
  10. Angels are pretty docile until they pair off and want to start mating, so just keep that in mind for your smaller fish. Sounds like your ideas for your tank are on the right track. Add your favorite species of Corydoras and a small species of Pleco for your bottom dwellers. You have a good start on your community tank.
  11. Gratz. Def a exciting time when new tanks are in the house.
  12. I think keeping it smaller would be my route . I mean as others have pointed out the woodwork is great . Something larger may take away from the wood as the focal point .
  13. It's not really about right/wrong . We just having a convo about our common hobby. I had just read a few peoples concerns about the longevity of these heaters . I was thinking it may ease some peoples minds of example they were running the controllers . Really for 25 bucks it is a fairly inexpensive. But yup No worries Tihahho . We are just two individuals in the honby having a convo of our ideas/thoughts . Salute Sir . 👊🏻
