  1. Thanks for the quick replay, ill try furan when I get home
  2. A couple weeks ago I got 6 furcata rainbows, 12 PSEUDOMUGIL LUMINATUS rainbows, and 12 ember tetras, and put them in quarantine. 1 week ago I came home to 2 dead rainbows. A week later 2 more died, an 1 died each day for the past 2 days. Ammonia and nitrite are at 0 every time I test. Nitrate is at around 10ppm, ph is at around 6.7, the heater is un plugged and the tank is at 76-78 degrees. I believe it's only the laminatus rainbows that are dying but it's hard to tell them apart from the furcatas so young. I have no meds in the tank but I have melafix, furan 2, and the quarantine trio meds on hand. A few of the dead fish had cloudy bulging eyes but not all of them, so I thought that could be due to how long they were dead for? They are all eating enthusiastically and seem to be acting normal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Good to know, thanks everyone!
  4. Thanks for the quick responses. The tank is very peaceful I've never seen any nipping or anything. It looks like it's under the scales. He seems to be doing fine though. I'll keep an eye on him incase anything changes.
  5. The bigger bumb in the picture first showed up a few weeks ago. I waited to see if it spread quickly like ick but it didn't but keeps getting bigger, and now I see another little one by his pectoral fin. It almost looks like the scale is coming off but idk. He is in a 20 gallon with 8 neon and 2 corydora, and none of them have bumps. The water is at 76 degrees, ammonia is at 0 and I included a picture of my other water parameters, which have been the same for over a year. Do you think this is ick or something else? Thanks everyone for your help.
  6. Thanks for the quick replies. I think I'll give it a shot and add some java moss in back.
  7. Hey everybody! I just joined the forum so I figured I'd share my tanks. The first is a 20 long I set up a 3 years ago. It currently has a betta, 9 neon tetras, and 2 Cory's with 2 more in quarantine. The 55 I set up about a year and a half ago, and redid to scape a few months ago. It has the male dwarf gourami that was originally in the 20, a black phantom, and 2 praecox rainbows (I lost the rest of those two schools to a bacterial infection I got from not quarantining Cory cats), 5 forktail rainbows with 5 more in quarantine and 6 Cory cats. Do you think those java ferns in the 20 would be enough cover to add some cherry shrimp?
