  1. @Karen B. I do believe lower flow helps keep floating plants happy that's been my experience at least. Could the plants also be getting wet? I know Cory has said before floating plants don't like getting wet on top.
  2. There always seems to be a bunch of gunk and nasty old food particles that get trapped in the plastic hinge and I can never seem to get it all out hoping someone has the answer.
  3. @alcidmrseems like you're dosing correctly for just having those plants hopefully someone more well versed in hornwort will come along and chime in. Is any of the hornwort planted or is it all floating?
  4. Hornwort is an extremely fast growing plant and it will also die extremely fast, it will suck up alot of fertilizer. The java Fern doesn't look horrible but it looks like you have some babies growing at the ends they could be stealing nutrients from the "parent". How often are you dosing the fertilizer?
  5. I would say it really comes down to size, color, and leaf shape it's really a preferance everyone likes different things. Here's some pictures to help you. All anubias's are amazing plants and I'm sure you'll be happy no matter which you pick.
  6. @KaitieGI'm not sure what it is either I have an aqueon, aqua clear and a tidal and they all seem to do it even with some that are self priming and some not I'm stumped too. 🤷‍♂️
  7. Cleaning my HOB filters, particularly turning them back on after you've cleaned out the filter media and all that nasty water goes into the aquarium.
  8. And a really cool taco trophy 😁. But yeah I've definetly thought to myself man this project would be perfect if I could print my own part for it I need something that no one else offers.
  9. Yeah online it says their reasoning is it provides homes to fish but it's illegal to even take driftwood that's out of the water too so now my only local option is to pay insane prices for driftwood at my LFS I got 3 pieces in my 75g that cost me over $300 😢 so very jealous of you right now. I'm going to join my local club soon and see if anyone there sells any.
  10. I have always wanted a 3D printer and have wondered what applications they've had in this hobby I'd love to see or hear people's projects they've done. I can't help but think of all the modifications you could do to filters, lights, and other projects to make your life easier.
  11. You could also take a handful of gravel or some filter media out and put it in the quarantine tank.
  12. That is awesome I have tons around me too but unfortunately it is illegal to take any.
  13. I'm interested in trying a salt water tank but don't know where to start. I'm basically looking for an equivalent of the co-op but for saltwater if that exists?
  14. I could only find one site to buy it from in the us too so it's not like we have another option(assuming youre also from the us)
  15. I found this when researching more types of anubias. Its hard to differentiate which ones are "true" and which ones aren't. I found most seem to be variants of nana or a Barteri which nana is itself. There are alot of rare kinds some are so rare I could only find single pictures of them with no info so it definetly needs to be better documented.
  16. Im also interested in the nitrates could be out competed for food? Are there many other plants in that tank?
  17. Love the layout of the tank, welcome to the forum!
  18. Mine is usually oh I need more fertilizer and water conditioner oh dang I didn't make free shipping I guess I'll just have to get some plants added.
  19. Yes pictures please also a great forum to be apart of welcome!
