  2. Will there be a live chat today? I don't want to miss it! And yes that me flamingo. Got lucky and they had one in the store Friday.
  3. I have a Betta in every aquarium that I have live bearers in. I never thought about it as population control but I guess it kind of is. I just love bettas and I love building community aquariums for them. I never thought of it as culling. Now I guess I do. I don't think it's a bad thing.
  4. I love baby Panda Cory I think they are the cutest fish. The tiny babies so cute. Congratulations
  5. I know it's not fish but it's my feed so I think it's ok to share. Really sad day in our home. Minnie our rabbit died. I am thankful for my aquariums. My fish, especially my bettas, they all really know when to make me smile.

  6. I am glad I am not alone. Mine look the same. I will be following for answers as well!
  7. We have 2 Honey Gouramis in a different tank and they are the sweetest thing to watch. But I have a weakness for that powered blue.
  8. Thank you for your knowledge! It was my understanding that they are female. So if you see male bits please confirm. I was also thinking aggression. Although they were both bought together out of the same tank. We were told if this happen to bring the bully back. Things were a little bumpy at first but they are in a forty so they had space to sort things out. Since then they have been together for a couple of months together without to much fuss with one another. She seems to be a lot less stressed right now by herself. As soon as I can drive I be taking the other back to the store this one is very sweet and docile and swims with my betta and guppies just fine. I'll keep you posted...
  9. The first picture is her right side it looks good and normal. The second side is her left side and it looks really rough. Any thoughts would be helpful? Her home is a community 40 gallon hexagon tank. There are small tetras, moscow guppies, another powered blue gourami, a very docile betta and lots of Cory's. The tank parameters are the best they have been in a while. I am wondering if she is getting beat up by the other gourami who is a bit of a bully. Or is it something like Popeye. Might be time to take the bully back to the coop ☹. I have her my girl in a 2 gallon hospital tank. I am treating with API aquarium salt and almond leaves. Since the tank is uncycled I added fluval cycle in the hospital tank and some prime. Is there anything else I can do? I got a back injury this weekend and wasn't able to physically attend to my aquariums until today, when I found her like this. Normally I just go to the coop and the awesome employees help me through this stuff although I can't drive right now so here I am concerned and worried. My fish are so important to me. Now I have you guys to reach out to. Very grateful for that.
  10. We used it in our African dwarf frogs tank and we didn't have a problem. I am interested to hear what other people think.
  11. Thank you for asking I was wondering the same thing. I have albinos Corydoras myself and the size variation were very surprising to me. Now I understand them better.
  12. I found this very surprising surprise.

  13. Corey, I truly am grateful to you. You given my family a way to connect as a family. Our journey is a little late to the party. But we are doing all we can to make to make up for lost time.
  14. Just wanted to give a new update Staro's he is getting healthier and prettier by the day. We are hoping to be able to move him to the tank we built for him but the parameters imploded on use about 2 weeks ago. I think we are getting the tank sorted out and hoped to put him in there anyday.
  15. Hi my trusted NERMS! I am seeking your wise knowledge. I have a betta that has had popeye for almost a month. We had him in a hospital tank for the First two weeks. When he wasn't getting worse but he wasn't getting better and it seemed the longer he was in the hospital he just got more depressed. He has been back in his 5 gallon community tank for a couple weeks now. His eye is not looking any better and now there is a little bit of light coloring. What can I do? He is in a heavily planted tank with his Tetras buddies. I am thinking about doing another salt treatment but I don't want to kill my plants... I am thinking about taking out all the plants and snails and just leave the betta with his tetras and try the salt therapy. But where do I start? I would rather strip down his tank and treat him and his buddies together because of how withdrawn he became when we was alone.
  16. When you are at you your child's evening activity and would rather be at the co op picking the brains of Jaden, Brandon, Thach, Robert and Alex...

(order in which they have had their turn at putting up with my craziness.)

  17. Update we are doing our best to keep him comfortable. Thank you both for your help we finally got we finally got the temp right. He is eating right off my finger and is recognizing me and my son so I think we are doing good that you for the help.
  18. I just picked up an angel fish with severe thin rot who was in a look like 30 gallon bow with three mollies and I believe in a Buenos Aires tetra. The mollies and the Tetra definitely have ick and there's some minor fin rot. The angel fish on the other hand is got some major fin rot. My intention was to bring the angel fish and surrender him to the coop because you guys would know exactly what to do to get him healthy. I could not keep him and get him healthy because I currently do not have an adequate tank. Well the mollies and Buenos Aires tetra are in my five gallon hospital tank. They will probably go to a friend's 36 gallon with other Molly friends to play with when they have healed up and no longer need to be in the hospital tank. But this angel fish here is already growing on us and we want to do right by him we have him in a column probably 3 gallon tank. Put the metaflex in the tank for him and some prime. He has a heater and a sponge filter. For the night his basics are covered. My question is can this hospital tank be ok for a few days while we get him a little more healthy and start to get a tank cycling... I need guidance. Please don't say all things I should be doing. I think my son, he is 24, really wants to keep him so we need to do it right the first try.
