Just a Pygmy Corydora

I'm still not certain that my pygmy cories notice the food... but then, how are they surviving? Aurora's stomach is so big, as he ate most of the catfish wafers that I've been giving.

You should be careful about food problems, I would do pygmy cories, not other, larger corydoras, if you want the "catfish" selection. Nerite snail if you want a snail that doesn't reproduce in freshwater. Neon tetras/ember tetras/green neon tetras are great schooling fish for you betta too. As @Ragnarok1200said, get lots of live plants in case your betta is territorial around your tankmates. Pygmy Cories also school, I've learned the hard way by only starting out with 3 so you should get 5 or more for those. The general rule is one snail per 5 gallons. You shouldn't mix species of tetra, for example, don't mix 2 green neon tetras, 2 ember tetras, and 3 neon tetras. Best of luck to your new betta tank!

Smokey loves to watch the betta tank all day. It even beats sitting beside the window! Starpuff, on the other hand, could care less about Aurora and the corycats.

Crypt Tropica is unwell, I'm not sure, but there is only 2 leaves left on the plant. Is it molting or . . . I don't have easy green as of right now, but I don't know what's happening. All the other plants are well.

Do you think making DIY cat towers/trees are better, or from the store?

We are going to Utah soon to see our family there, and we’re staying for 2 weeks, what should I do with Aurora and my cats?

Starpuff is making a face because Smokey got his cat food first. I was going to give her foood right after… also, Smokey seems to be on the friendly side, while Starpuff is on the “you can pet me when I feel like it” side. They are littermates btw.

Smokey decided that fish are more entertaining than the bird tv. He seems to think that the fish tank is a tv screen and doesn’t really try to kill Aurora or the catfish. Starpuff on the other hand, doesn’t care if they exist or not. Only when I spend more attention to the tank, she tried to claw the aquarium.

Smokey likes the catnip ball.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I will continue to post about my cats in this thread. As of right now, they are snoozing on his cat bed and Smokey on my bean bag.

@Trishthanks for the advice! We’ve had them for a week now, and they seem to be getting used to us. Starpuff won’t let me pet her, but Smokey loves getting scratched behind his ears.

So my family got two cats, anyone with experience? If so, can you post some advice? Their names are Starpuff (female) and Smokey (male) one tuxedo (Starpuff) and one black cat (Smokey).

Aurora my betta. He is indeed very greedy and demanding at times, like feeding the corydoras. But otherwise, he will practically do anything for food, which is very… amusing and adorable.

I looked at the betta school amazon link and it said by "Dr Dean"?

What should I do if I want them to hatch? My betta tank is a freshwater..

As you can see, there is a white dot on the sponger filter and the heater. I don’t know what this is. I have a nerite snail, a betta, 5 Pygmy corydoras, and some black bugs in the surface glass.

Second Update: I have been feeding them cories like that every day, and Aurora still finds 2/3 of the wafers I put in the DARK.

I do not think they notice that wafers are food. They are still sleeping. I think they will eat soon.

Update: I tried feeding the sinking wafers to my corydoras 10 minutes before the lights went on, like @CorydorasEthan suggested. Aurora dashed to eat SOMETHING, because he saw my hand over the lid. But thankfully, he couldn't spot the wafer, and the corydoras were still sleeping.

=O Also, they are out of the water, like the gap between the lid and water in the tank, the glass.
