  1. Where has WhiteCloudDynasty been. I haven’t seen him in awhile.
  2. Hello everyone, I just noticed my membership has expired due to lack of funds. I have been a member for at least three years and have placed at least four or five order’s in the last few months. I get paid Friday. Will that bring my status back up to three years or will I start as a snail? Will always love the Coop no matter what happens.
  3. I live about 60 miles north of places to seine for Notropis Chrosomus. I am working right now to get my tanks aged so in late April/May I can take a few weekends and try and get some. Hopefully raise some fry and then buy some tank raised to keep some genetic diversity. I loved watching your videos. Excellent job. Out of curiosity, have you ever watched Cory’s (aquarium coop) video on collecting vinegar eels? I enjoy it. Much luck to your breeding endeavors.
  4. I hear ya. I use to keep Bettas until I found out I was doing it all wrong according to the Betta police. 😆 Took me awhile to get here, but I trust Cory that it would stay respectful. I’m in no hurry for the answer to be honest. They just seemed interesting so I thought I would toss it out there. I have a few others to acquire before even thinking about others. Thank you for the heads up.
  5. I hear ya. I am hoping to run into a breeder here. Everyone I know keeps African Cichlids. Thank you for the help.
  6. What would be the coldest water you would keep an Apistogramma Borellii? I have noticed a few talking about them being in room temps without a heater, but someone’s room temperature can vary from person to person? Thank you for reading.
  7. I’m going along the route of native fish right now. Saffron Shiners, rainbow goby, maybe some Rainbow Shiners. Right now I have a 30 gallon and two 10 gallon tanks seasoning to get a good algae film. Then will order some plants from the Co-op. Probably seed it first with guppies. Just taking it slow and easy. I love the process more than anything.
  8. I placed my first order to Aquarium Coop since 2019. It felt so good to finally put an order in again. It made me feel good to know I was finally getting back to my nermy self. Being without fish has really just been existing, not living. Sorry about being sappy about this, but I have truly missed my fish. Much love and respect to all of you.
  9. I’m definitely trying to find some Saffron Shiners, maybe Rainbow Shiners, looking at some different gobies, Florida Flag Fish, a speckled sun fish and some mosquito fish. I will definitely have to keep some of the separate, but they are such a beautiful color when in breeding mode.
  10. I have had Oscars, goldfish, dozens and dozens of Bettas I bought straight from Indonesia, guppies, Convict Cichlids several Neocaridina shrimp and other scattered fish over the last 45 years. I believe I’m going to go mostly natives and get my cherry shrimp running again. Thank you for the kind remarks.
  11. I’ve been doing a lot of lurking, but have been around for a few years watching all the video’s. Lost all my fish in 2019 after a long power outage during a cold snap. Broke my heart. Then Covid ran through my family. Lost a job, but through it all the Aquarium Coop family kept me sane. Much love to all of you. Finally setting a couple tanks back up for cool water fish. No more heaters for me. Will be placing plant orders soon so I can get two tanks to start seasoning for fish later.
  12. My first tank was a 55 gallon back in 1985. If I remember correctly I had an old Marineland HOB. Don’t remember the heater. I kept one Oscar named Grumpy. I had a lot of fun with him. I didn’t even know I was supposed to change water. I just topped it off. I fed him all kinds of worms and feeder fish. I also didn’t know he would outgrow his tank. I’m surprised he lasted three years because looking back I made a lot of mistakes.
  13. Hello everyone. I am James Holbrook in Crossville, Tn. I kept a lot of Oscars, Jack Dempseys, Convict Cichlids in the 1980’s and early 90’s. Also kept Betta Splendens when there weren’t so many to choose. I got back in the hobby with guppies, Bettas and Cherry Shrimp a few years ago. I found the Coop not long after and joined about ten months ago. I finally understand a lot better what Cory was getting at in your livestream. I believe this will be an invaluable part of our continued learning and sharing experience. What a great old/new concept. I miss the forums as well.k
