  1. Yeah sorry, I bought from @WhitecloudDynasty on get gills. I didn't even realize he was on the forum until this thread. I'm glad to see him here! I just recognized the name and the video he posted. Sorry if my post caused any trouble.
  2. Bought a school of shiners from @WhitecloudDynasty back in October and they are doing fantastic! I have a 100 gallon Rubbermaid pond in my basement for them and the males just recently colored up for breeding mode! Any idea how long that lasts? Like, what's the window of opportunity for breeding these guys? I remember emailing @WhitecloudDynasty when I bought them about growing them in a pond, but I don't think I ever asked about what kind of setup, (rock piles, plants, ECT.) they should have for best results. I hope to colony breed these guys if possible. If not I am willing to put in the work for these beautiful fish. Will snails be an issue with them potentially eating eggs?
  3. My suggestions would be something along the lines of a fancy goldfish or a turtle. If you go the turtle route be sure to do your research though as its not just an aquarium you are keeping at that point. My turtle swims up to the glass everytime he sees me.
  4. It doesn't look like my last post worked and I don't think I can edit it. I'll just put the links. ok that worked... I guess the best solution is the easiest one.
  5. This seems to be the best way to get a <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/x2LGLLSnYHI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5cHrejsyZqQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PwjbWWnuELQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> I think this should work...
  6. I am using the wireless sensor tags from wirelestag.net. I've found it a little buggy but reliable enough for what i need it for. I'm thinking about getting one or two more sensors to measure ambient temp to see how it correlates. The app is through them as well. I'd like to post video of the pond and specifically the fry but I'm not sure how, like I said I'm not used to forums.
  7. Thanks! I made it a point to make it look good to convince my parents to let me continue to do this and possibly expand.
  8. I'm very new to the forum format so forgive my formating. This is my first year doing summer tubbing, and I'd say so far it has been very successful! All the plants except for the floating azolla and hornwort are native and were collected from a nearby marsh. I have 3 aquarium coop sponge filters and one random sponge filter. I decided to breed halfbeaks because that is what my lfs said he wanted more of and I got an original batch from him and have bred them twice since June. I was paranoid about the temp so I installed a temperature sensor that would graph the temp throughout the day and would alert me if levels went out of bounds. I can see the temp at all times as long as I have an internet connection. I can post what I use later if anyone is interested. Screenshot featuring Cory's Livestream talking about managing heat in aquariums also shown funnily enough. I started the pond with daphnia that has since been wiped out but there are loads of seed shrimp and other small "bugs" swimming around to feed both the parents and the fry. Every day I feed aquarium coop fry food and bug bites flakes as well as baby brine shrimp (hatched in the artemia blender).
