  1. I have to chime in here.. first of all, bro I will send you some water sprite. Give me your address and I will send you a mountain of water sprite. I live over an hour away from the coop and they're service is the main reason why I come back. They are all the nicest people ever. A real gem to the hobby. They are always customer first, I know firsthand. Obviously things go wrong, but it's important to be patient. It's unfortunate what happened, but forsure they care about you being happy. Don't let this be the reason, continue to buy from aquarium co op. Joe
  2. Yeah, the next batch I make I'm gonna thin it out a lot more and it should set in the mold a lot smoother.. I'm gonna play with some other molds too. I would like to make some that just look like rocks or let some dry with suction cups in the back to stick to the glass. Lots of ideas.
  3. Hah! Yeah I could see that happening. I'm motivated by my cheapness. I'm in federal way and the tap water is crazy soft. I'm running a drip system on 80 tanks and want something other than crushed coral to help with remineralizing. Specifically to raise my GH a bit. I also need something to slowly remineralize as the drip system will slowly change out the water. About 10% daily. This is the best solution I've come up with other than giant water storage tanks. Joe
  4. https://www.jehmco.com/html/accessories_-_media.html#FoamSheet These sheets of woven plastic work better than sponge material. The water flows through it better.
  5. Yeah that's exactly what i used. Thanks for confirming that. I also added magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate.
  6. Oh I forgot to mention, they only cost 2 cents to make!
  7. My very first test run of a DIY wondershell. Not sure if it'll work, but I'll be testing it out in the next couple of days. I added spirulina for color and food for my snails and shrimp. Has anyone else tried this yet?
  8. I guess I could try to help you, but I've never mailed something out of the country before.
  9. https://www.jehmco.com/html/air_diffusers.html#PondDiffusers Try something like this..
  10. I've used similar pumps for ponds. It should work very well. Keep it out of the rain or build a box for it. Look for the larger pond diffusers and use a larger airline tubing. You could also just hard pipe it in with a threaded air diffuser. Look on Pentair or Jehmco.
  11. The vinegar eels are a good first food, but whatever you feed, try not to feed them too early. It could foul up the water too quickly if their in a smaller container. Also, if you really want to be successful, try getting 6 or 7 more and maybe then you could have 2 or 3 pairs going. You may have more success with a different pair. Not to say you can't be successful with these two, but it definitely increases your chances and will give you more practice hatching the eggs and playing with different parameters. Not to mention, if you have multiple pairs in the same tank, they will release hormones when spawning and get the other pairs spawning too. Joe
  12. These are definitely some older pictures, and it's definitely not worth $15k. I'm still in the early construction stage, but I have 15× 75 gallon stackables and a wall of ten gallons. It should be around 70 to 80 tanks when I'm done. I think he was just fascinated and wanted to be on my side. He was impressed and had the impression that this was a serious thing.
