  1. baby shrimp! oh and the light is so boss i turnedit down to it work so well
  2. lights have only been equal times since this thread started. also the amount of flourish and so quick start was the same, as well as gravel and soil mix. i can already see a difference. they are opening and closing and perked up already with have the same light as the nice ones.
  3. yes were started at sthe ame time they had different lights ...now both have the light that healthier plants have
  4. so i did two planted tanks at same time. one is 17in and one is 12in. it has been a month ... 2 weeks barely wet/sprayed, then flooded. so the 12in has had this great light on it from day one and the 17 has had its stock light with a 1/4 of the amount of lights. so light is food right. the 12 is the pic with the shrimp and the one with wood is the 17. both started at same time. i got the 17 the same light as the 12 now do yall out there think the plants are stunted? i guess we will see....
  5. something that i'm doing for the first time with my tanks is planing lol
  6. thank you all so much. this is my second tank in ten years. i used to have big tanks. my first nano is my bonsai tree cave tank with emerald jade shrimp.
  7. thanks so much. the slate i ordered. there is a premade chiclid hollow cave thing and the big rock is from wa. state river. i used it under my back tire to park on a hill by the swimming spot.
  8. Water sprite, hairgrass, Anubias and wood was sourced from Aqua Co-Op. Aqua Hana Cherry Shrimp.
  9. oh cool i'm excited. thanks for your input. hey if they breed and there are a bunch would it be cool to put like one simeese algae eater or like one gorani or betta in the tank. or would you leave it as it is , if it works and sell them?
  10. I have a 5gal tank and it has a false back. the filter pump is back there. there is a filter sponge that could be tighter on this shelf with the holes. i could have put a another piece there to make the sponge up next the hole but i didn't want it to get clog. the pump is on very low like 2 of 10. my shrimp can get in and out of the back part of the tank. I got emerald jades but one looks really blue and its the biggest. i saw this blue one go in and later come out of the back where the filter is. is this an issue or it is it a just another element of their tank. there is java moss, hairgrass and micro sword. i had just the plants in the tank for 20days and cycled it. algae started to grow after a week. the shrimp are eating it. they hide alot and sometimes i will see like three of them at most eating or see them in cave with flashlight.
