  1. Yes, and for some reason I still have no access. I cancelled my account and will setup another this weekend using a computer instead of my phone.
  2. I did setup my membership using an Apple product. Are you saying I need to cancel my membership and set it up using a computer in order to see the community videos?
  3. Any suggestions @Cory @Zenzo
  4. I"m a member to Aquarium Coop on YouTube at $5.99 a month. It looks like you must be a member at $6.99 a month to get the new community material. How do I modify my account from $5.99 to $6.99? I can't figure out how to do this other then unsubscribing my current subscription and starting a new one. Is this my only option?
  5. Thanks all. What is being described is exactly what I'm doing, I'll keep at it and see if my hatch rate gets better. Maybe shoot for 48 hours with the next batch.
  6. I picked up some smaller fish lately and want to start hatching brine again. My last several hatches have been pretty bad. How much salt should be added to the Ziss hatchery? Also, I've ordered some new brine shrimp eggs as my eggs may have gone bad. Can eggs be kept in the freezer? I read that somewhere and kept my eggs there for a few months. Thanks
  7. Thank you James. Already a long standing member of the channel, looks like this is an extension of that. I did see part of the video where Zenzo was introduced, sadly fell asleep before it finished though.
  8. Watching a few videos on YouTube and heard Cory mention the club. Can someone fill me in as I'm out of the loop. I did hear Zenzo is heading this up and lots of speakers lined up, sounds awesome!
  9. I was on vacation last week and came home to find out my canister filter stopped working. I have cleaned it hoping that would fix the issue, but apparently not. Now I'm going out of town again, leaving tomorrow and will be gone for a week. I have today to find a quick solution. I have access to both Petsmart and Petco, which carry FX4 and FX6. My tank is 85 gallons and heavily planted with limited stock (neo's and 7 dwarf rainbows.). I inject CO2 which is the reason I need a canister. Part of my hold up is that I had planned to add a sump to this aquarium and had been planning for that (as well as an auto water change system). Ugh.
  10. I've always questioned the accuracy of test strips and have often times received weird results from them. Yesterday, I tested my display tank for nitrates. I'm trying to keep it at a level of nitrates adequate for good plant growth. I figured this would be ideal for the test strips as I could easily test it daily. My test strip showed zero nitrates in the tank. While this tank doesn't have a huge bio-load, I do add fertilizer regularly so this result didn't seem plausible. I pulled out my API Master test kit which revealed a level of 80 ppm. Are these test strips just completely worthless or is it just me? Is there another way for me to quickly and easily test nitrates in a tank?
  11. Yes, this is exactly what I'm trying to do. The rainbowfish will be moving out, to a new home. The neo's are red. The dominate structure in the tank is a large root and another large piece of black and white marbled seiryu stone. The background if frosted. I like several of the suggestions so far, as well as the green kubotai rasbora (microdevario kubotai). Will the celestial pearl rasbora come out more if they are in a large school? I really like that fish, and think it would fit in quite well, but not if it hides all of the time.
  12. I have a heavily planted 80 gallon aquascaped tank. I have some rainbowfish in there now, but would like to move them and add a decent size school of small colorful tetra or rasbora. Ideally the fish would be 1.5" or less with good schooling, I'd like 30-40 of them. My ph is around 7 and the temp is stable at 74. There are also some shrimp in the tank, both amano and neocaradinia. Any recommendations?
  13. I do have some canister filters, hi end lights, and fancy fert dosing on some of my aquariums. The vast majority are cheap dollar per gallon with matten filters though. I think I setup 3 of these tanks for less then $100 all in. So yes, you can get all the fancy stuff. But once you cut through all of the BS, it is a cheap hobby to have a lot of fun with. I do agree you need to know what you're doing, or at least have some time to spend on YouTube to learn. If you go into a fish store with little understanding you are bound to walk out with far more then what is needed.
  14. I need a 15 gallon but these don't ever seem to be included in the sales. My local Petco rarely carry them either. Sadly a 20L won't quite fit in my rack.
  15. I believe Waterbox is planning something, they haven't released any info yet though.
  16. Can you share a tutorial on how you automated your water changes? I see parts of the system.
  17. I mainly follow the Coop and related, like Steenfott and Tazawa. Swhiskey whenever he drops videos of course. In addition, Dan's Fish always has good advice and LRB Aquatics has an interesting perspective. Green Aqua, George Farmer and Jurijs Jutjajevs if you're into aquascaping. How could I forget Racheal O'Leary. Her stuff is very educational, she's full of great knowledge.
  18. No doubt, overstocking a tank can be done, especially with certain fish. The problem is when newer fish keepers do it, just leads to dead fish. Which brings us back to another pet peeve, the thought that fish are expendable.
  19. In general, overstocked tanks. Lots of new aquarium owners tend to overstock their tanks it seems.
  20. Which Xtreme flake? I like the Xtreme Krill and Spirulina, actually just placed an order for more from the Coop.
  21. Thanks all. Fish food incoming from the Coop.
  22. Well, guess I will be placing an order at the Coop today. Suggestion for veggie food for my rainbows?
  23. I have a large container of Xtreme Krill. I've had it for 6 months or so, maybe longer. I've been pulling out a couple weeks worth to feed my fish and storing the larger container in a dark spot. It will likely take me another 6-9 months before I feed all of this out. How long will this food last? Should I throw out what is remaining and get a fresh batch? Cory's livestream last night had me thinking more about this.
  24. I was thinking of getting a second Ziss hatchery so I could add leftovers back into one hatchery for a later feeding. Currently I just feed directly from the sieve. I don't have many tanks.
