Hey so sorry for the very very late reply. Ok so im probably going to get yelled at for this but... I dont really keep my tank "clean and perfect" so parameters I will double check when I test the water again and let you know. 🙂 as for other stuff so ... First obvious question do you have females? I personally have 2 males 1 female (just what I ended up with from the shop). Next I would ask how "clean" is your tank ? So my general "main" tank is where they live i have a whole handful of stuff in there (most probably dosnt matter but ill list is anyway) here goes. Livestock... 2 hillstream loachs...1 bristlenose (around 2 to 3 inch)... 2 zebra danios... 2 pearl danios... about 5 white clouds minnows and around 5 gold white cloud minnos... 5/6 harlequin rasbora... 5/6 tiger barbs ... 3 armano shrimp... 2 bamboo shrimp... some rabbit snails and nerite snails ... "pest snails"(i actually like them but I have a snail tank that the extra go to when there are to many and they are to ho for a vacationin my dads pond every week I get around 50 pest snails out of my tank some big that I missed the week before and some tiny )... 2 assassin snails ... a leopard danio ... 3 albino corydoras(3 females)... and last but not least the 3 pepered corydoras (2 male 1 female) although there around 12 juvenile in there now from about 1cm to 1.5 inch that are eggs iv dropped while taking them out and have survived 🥰 and im sure will start breeding anytime 😂😂. The process i go through ... watch them spawning (fantastic to watch) and wait for the female to lay her eggs normally on the side of the glass sometimes get caught on my plants I will try to list those aswell. Then I typically wait a day after I see them as there a little more delicate iv found the first day and can burst (although I read they wouldn't be fertilised anyway). Then I get a pipette i cut the end off and gather the eggs(i fill the pipette with tank water and scope them up under the eggs so the slide into the pipette as there very sticky there gard to suck up). I then pop those into a hang on the tank breeder box which has the tank water constantly flowing in and out of it (I will add pictures if I can) its the large fluval breeder box I use. I then leave them in there to hatch. My breeder box have java moss and malm in there and a nerite snails and some baby tiny rabbit snails (that my bigger rabbit snails had). I feed them crushed (I powder between my fingers) betta high protein micro pellets(i will add a picture for the food) and also a fish science stick on glass treat tab (again i crush to a powder) i give minimal amounts of this probably an 8th of a teaspoon maybe not even that amount it depends how many I have in there (I eyeball it 😂) I then continue that process every few days as they lay more egg still leaving the previous ones in the breeder box. Once the biggest ones reach about 1.5 cm i transfer those to a bigger tank (different water as its a separate tank so probably different parameters) in that 2nd tank i have a bare bottom tank (a sprinkle of fine gravel) a hide/cave a lump of bog wood and some java moss also some "pest snails" and some rosy barbs (5 to keep the water above the corydoras moving) and a hand full of mix shrimps about 6 i think (red and yellow). I never "clean" the tank the glass has bifilm on it and the water is actually temperate in the 2nd tank but my main tank is at 22c. And they stay and grow in there as I cant fit more in my main tank im hopefully going to sell them to my local store once big enough 🥰 . And the biggest thing I believe in is i dont interfere to much. Once I decide to empty the breeder box into the 2nd tank I do select a few tiny corydoras fry to stay in there as there just a little small and may get eaten my the bigger ones in the 2nd tank. I dont treat my eggs or water with anything ! I am a believe in leave things alone and nature will find a way although I do watcher change my main tank ( with the hang on) maybe once every week or 2 honestly its when I remember and if I test my water and the ammonia or no2/3 is a bit high ... my main tank is ran with malm i do not gravel vac or even change my filter cartridges all that often I do squeeze out my sponges when I change the water and the "carbon cartridges" but I have never changed them since I got the filter. The filter is a fluval u2 my tank size is around 50 litres ( yes everything fits and lives happily in there) I believe I just have a good balance. I have biofilm and algae spots on my glas the loachs and pleco and snails and shrimp eat it and keep onto of the build ups . I have some hair algae in there to mainly on my java fern. Plants in my main tank I have java fern... anubius... some tall grass stuff 😂 and 2 other types of plan and some java moss ( i will try and find the plant passports and send the pictures of those. I has fine black gravel as the substrate and some pebbles( thats a new addition in the last few weeks) I do think thats about it ... maybe ... but im happy to answer any questions if I can. Oh I have bog wood in there to ! And an air stone just thrown in😂. I will get some pictures and upload them after this post (if it lets me) of the tank, babies , plants and water tests. Apologies for how this may read im not the best at explaining things or wording things 😂 oh I forgot to add i get around 15 to 30 eggs each batch normally if I get there before the danios pick them of the glass. I will add pictures of those to.
Thanks for reading and the response 🥰
