  1. I have an acrylic tank with dried duckweed all over it and I don't want to scratch it. I'm wondering how I can clean it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  2. Hi I have a planted tank with c02 in it and I wanted to rescape it. I was wondering if I remove all the plants from it and move them to a non c02 planted tank will they just get covered in algae ? @Cory Thanks
  3. They die after 2-3 days. I feed them hatched baby brine and daphnia, and yes I do keep them in a ziss hatchery.
  4. Wow I did not know that, very interesting, thank you for your input.
  5. Hi, I have been trying to breed my leopard angelfish for a couple months now, It took me some time to get a flat slate and then of course their tank broke ( I live by murphys law if you have seen my other posts) and I had to fit them in my 29 gallon planted tank community tank which they had no problem nipping half the inhabitants of and eating all of my amanos, but I digress. I now have them back in their tank and they keep producing wigglers, I keep missing the eggs for some reason, but everytime i move the wigglers into their ziss breeder box they die within a matter of days. I clean the bottom of the box with a turkey baster for any detritus that has built up but I'm wondering what else I am missing? I think at this point I have watched every video dean has made on angelfish breeding but I'm obviously not getting something.
  6. Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions, I have grow lights for my plants right now https://www.amazon.com/EZORKAS-Dimmable-Spectrum-Adjustable-Gooseneck/dp/B07ZHY1B4C/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=grow+lights&qid=1623950536&sr=8-5 I mainly wondering if these will work.
  7. I just checked the parameters again Ph 7.4 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0ppm Nitrate 0ppm
  8. I have a few vases and fish bowls filled with substrate and water, I have pothos growing out of one but the other two are empty. I would like to fill them with aquatic plants but i'm not sure the grow light will provide enough exposure for the plants underwater. Has anyone had experience with this? If anyone had any horticulture plant ideas either I would love to hear them! These aren't for little critters just to be clear.
  9. Here are some photos, I currently only have shrimp in the tank. I took the endlers out because I was breeding them and didn't think extra feedings would benefit the issue. The tank has been set up about 5 months.
  10. Hi, so nice to meet someone from around the area! I will definitely be uploading soon!
  11. I introduced myself awhile back here but I feel like alot has changed since then. I used to have a 55gallon full of dwarf cichlids and angelfish and a couple tanks in my office, unfortunately my 55 exploded in my living room which resulted in a flood and lots of fish loss. After a few months of missing my favorite tank I eventually was able to buy a storage rack which now holds a row of 4 rimless tanks, the top is filled with vases and plants and my bottom row is where i breed my last two angelfish (yes they made it) and endlers. I have a total of 10 tanks right now but I am still planning on getting more small tanks. If I could give anyone a piece of advice I would say be very skeptical buying used tanks.
