  1. I use gravel (from my research and what cory from aquarium co-op says, gravel is ok). Secondly, I didn't quarantine them since I got them from Aquarium Co-Op and they already quarantine them. Thirdly, I didn't notice any odd behavior. Fourthly, I did acclimate them when I got them.
  2. So all my Julii Corys (I had 4) suddenly started dying within the span of a week and I have no idea why. I had them in a 10 gallon with 4 endlers, and a betta for 4-5 months now and they were doing fine. They all got along and there was no aggression at all. I noticed that all the corys that died had red bellies with a white thing in the middle so I think they might have had parasites but I'm not sure. Also, their barbels were still long so I don't think it had to do with my water quality. Here are my water parameters: Ammonia: Below 0.5 Nitrate: 0-10 Nitrite: 0 PH: 7.0
  3. Here's a cool video of an assassin snail hunting its prey if you're interested 🤷‍♂️ (Not my video)
  4. I purposely did not feed them this morning and I noticed right now that the lump is going away so I think it was just food that had not digested yet. Thanks for the help and info 👍
  5. At the right angle when my cory's belly is completely exposed, the lump looks like an abnormal almost perfectly shaped circle. Sorry if my explanation is confusing. Here's a drawing that I drew of what it looks like :
  6. This is the best photo I could take since they are really fast. From this angle, you can kinda see the lump. It's circle shaped near the chest.
  7. I noticed that 3/4 of my corys have a little bump on the upper part of their underside. It doesn't seem to affect them though, they're acting normal and derpy like they always do. Is it a sign that they're well fed, is it an egg pouch, is it a fungal infection, or is it something else?
  8. My LFS is Aquarium Co-Op since I live in the area. @Cory Do you feed your Otocinclus algae wafers?
  9. Is there anything else I'd be able to feed them?
  10. There is a bit of algae on my glass and wood but if they eat it all, I can just drop in some algae wafers.
  11. I currently have a 10 gallon aquarium that's stocked with a (peaceful) betta, 4 endlers, and 4 julii corydoras. Would it be okay/safe to squeeze in 3 otocinclus?
  12. I'm pretty sure they automatically turn off when the water is warm enough but I may be wrong.
  13. For my Betta's 3 gallon tank, I used an Aqueon Preset Mini heater that I got from Petco that worked really well.
  14. According to www.pondplace.com, it says "Parasitic leeches can be harmful to your fish causing anemia and can spread protozoal blood parasites between fish. Leeches found on fish should be picked off and skin swabbed with a disinfectant."
  15. Good to know that it's harmless because I saw one of my endlers picking at it lol
  16. I recently put spider wood in my 10 gallon aquarium and it's starting to grow a white fuzz on it. What is it and how do I get rid of it?
  17. LOL I listen to "Cory Gang" by Fish For Thought all the time
  18. A name for the whole group
  19. What is a funny/good name for a group of 4 Corydoras?
  20. It's been cycled for 2 weeks and I added Tetra SafeStart Plus to cycle it
  21. I'm new to the hobby and I have a 10 gallon cycled and ready to go. I'm planning on stocking it with 4 corys and a bachelor group of 4-5 endlers. I was wondering if I could add in both groups of fish at once today or if I should add 1 group this weekend and the other group next weekend.
