  1. I need this sign...my boyfriend thinks keeping cats is more expensive🤣
  2. I was wanting to set up a second sponge filter in my 36 gallon bowfront. I've heard of two ways to do this. One way is to use a splitter and the other way is just to stack the filters together. What's the difference and is one better than the other?
  3. 🥰 I just want to thank everyone on the forum and especially Cody and his team at Aquarium Co-op for all of the advice, blog posts, etc. Your information is spot on and it's a wonderful thing to have a reliable place to come to.
  4. Ahhhh💡That might explain my two loaches behaviors. I bought these two at the same time. One is light colored and doubled in size after I got them. The other is darker and stayed the same small size. The bigger lighter colored one kept pursuing the darker one. I wasn't sure if he was being territorial when I fed them or if he was trying to mate. The fish are not very old.
  5. How does one tell the difference between male and female Myer's Hillstream loaches?
  6. I think it might have been the cory's. Here's the new plant still going strong a few days later. The cory's hang out amoung the rocks but so far so good 👍🏻
  7. I may have overprotected the new plant😅. It's a red flame sword. I put a weight on the base and surrounded it with rocks that were already in the tank. Hopefully the guilty party will leave it alone enough that the new plant can grow up a little🙏🏻🤞🏻💗 I took the opportunity to trim the lily too, it was way overgrown.
  8. Awesome! I have some loose rocks I can place around the plant as well as using weights. I also have some clay pots that I can break up and sand the edges down. There's river stones that I could acquire too but right now its a little cold to go swimming lol.
  9. I just ordered the weights, a new plant, and some tweezers to help me get the plant deeper into the substrate. 🥰
  10. There were two different plants that I've tried. When I got them, the roots didn't seem well developed. I don't remember what the first plant was, the second was a scarlett temple plant. The weights might not be a bad idea....
  11. Hi guys, I was wondering if someone has any advice. I have a 36 gallon with 1 betta, 12 neons, 5 pygmy cory's, 2 Myers hillstream loaches and 3 assassin snails plus pest snails that are slowly going away. Something keeps digging up any plant I put into one particular corner. They'll leave the other plants alone but for some reason my fish don't want plants in that corner. Any advice?
