  3. I just got my java fern ( planted with some success), bacopa and water Sprite came wet packed in Ziplocks with wet toweling, ( from aquarium coop) how soon fo I need to plant these? The moss took a long time and I have an OB peacock cichlid in my tank so i am afraid to plant the bacopa or water sprite... can i let these plants sit or "float" in my tank so my cichlid doesnt trash them? (Rocky is less than 2 inches long ) Any friendly advice is welcome!
  4. Yep.. I am on week 7 of cycling and just started planting because of Corey's advice in a video.. No rush as I cant afford everything right away!
  5. Hello! I am new here and thrilled to be returning to my hobby now that kids are grown. So much more support online than 25 years ago! I am still setting up my new 46 gal bowfront community tank and thanks to @Cory, I have restarted ...Now building a planted aquarium! I am definitely looking for guidance as i continue to do research and i am convinced that Aquarium Coop folks will be my mentors! Just switched out my substrate and now doing hardscape and co-op plants are on their way! (Not much worth showing yet) looking forward to wisdom and support. Thanks for all the help so far, and for what is to come!
  6. Interesting that I came upon this. I just had this experience: 4 days prior I had a clinic procedure done on my arm- lazer zaps. I was healing just fine. Then I got into my aquarium to redesign and change out my substrate to expand into a planted aquarium. Dispite hand - arm washing- Within 24 hours I was ready to go to ER cuz an infection took off turning red and swollen, growingfrom 1 cm diameter to a big 6 cm diameter. Only because it was the Night before Thanksgiving And C19 was taking off in my area that the doc thought I not risk going in. Doc kept tabs on me and directed OTC medication and so far it is subsiding. If you have any injuries -or Healing injuries- in your hands be very cautious in your tank.( I'd add my image, but cant figure that out here)
