I used crushed coral: partly to buffer the water, but mainly to be able to see the fish. At first I didn’t use any substrate but I couldn’t see the fish at all. So I would suggest a light color substrate.

Hi, My Fluval Flex 15 bulb just quit working a few days ago. I was looking at replacing it and wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience? I would like to use the original lid and have the light where the original one sits. Does the Fluval Planted 3.0 fit under there? Any other lights I should consider? Thanks
