And Now Green Spot Algae
lefty o replied to Mitch_ScruffyCityAquatics's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
nerites are about the only thing that seem to touch green spot algae. i know it has been a while since the original post, but i would cut back some on the easy green for a while. when nutrients in the water are more than what the plants need, it seems to me that is when algae becomes problematic. -
more than likely the 2 sponge filters will do the job.

water is the first concern. cpd's are sort of shy, and do better imo in groups of 10 or more.

if you keep tabs on the water, and everything is healthy it is not really needed. it gives people peace of mind to do weekly water changes, but quite often it isnt needed.

they look good. you will see how pure of a strain they are when the babies show up and they get color.

most likely he doesnt play well with others. seems some bettas can get along with others, but its never a sure bet.

for me, moving crypts hasnt ever been an issue in the same tank, or tank to tank. i think melt happens when everything changes, put in different water etc. id move it, and not think twice about it. worst case scenario it will melt back then regrow.

so many choices, you have to go with whatever coloration you like best. orange lazers are really neat, and i really like panda's too. bronze cory's seem to be industry staples, and imo also seem to be the hardiest. i have a pair or bronzes that are 14 or 15 years old, not sure what they are made of, because they just dont die no matter what happens in the tank.

lefty o replied to HailstheMermaid's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
will be fine. the root tab capsules are pretty much the same as the pill capsules people eat all the time.
