    used to be all over the place, small stores here and there. there's twin cities guppies in maplewood mall i think. ive been there once, its small but nice. getting out of the area in richfield down by the airport is World of Fish, and thats a must see at least once, and there is or was one about a mile right down the road from them. i havent been down in many years, so who knows now.

    ballpark what part of the cities? guessing by quality aquatics, northern area. im close thats one of my go to stores. used to be many more than there is now, but forest lake pets is worth a visit at least once.

    the only time filtration really becomes overkill is when it causes so much water movement in the tank that it affects the fish.

    with just having java ferns you dont need more than 4-6hrs of light a day. also if it is close to a window, daylight through a window will absolutely cause green water.

    thats what pops into my mind. if you can afford to lose $400 buying something cheap, well whatever. 124 gallons of water loose in your home, now thats something to be concerned about.

    the capsule body is of zero concern unless the looks bother you.

    in a nicely planted tank like that i like ember tetras for a schooling fish. they arent too hard on shrimp as a bonus.
